Pepe's

We really enjoyed Pepe’s, the food and margaritas were very good, the only thing I could say could be improved would be the chips tasted a little stale but could also be because they are house made and not covered/ saturated in salt. Our waitress was great and service was top notch so if it was bad before it has greatly improved but we have no issues what so ever. We will be back for sure! Glad to have this restaurant in downtown Covington.

Just ate lunch there. Service was nice but kitchen took almost an hour to serve our party of 7, which was 3 tacos each on $2 Taco Tuesday. Out of pork belly, and then served me shrimp taco instead of the fish taco I ordered and stated “we didn’t do the fish because the fish was bad”. Huh? What does that say about the other seafood served like the shrimp. Less than an hour later I am finding out. Fail. Wanted to like the place. Tacos were also not very good.

Had dinner her 4/7/18 with a group of friends. There were 7 of us and 3 were celebrating birthdays. Our server was aware of the special occasion. They were busy that night, with a couple people waiting to be seated, but I would not say that they were overwhelmed with business. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our food and drink orders were also taken fairly quickly, but it took over 15 minutes to get the drinks to our table and OVER AN HOUR to have our food served. We asked what was happening with the food about 30-40 min into the wait and were told it was delayed because they were busy but would be out soon. When the food finally did arrive, several entrees were inedible due to being soggy after apparently spending a good bit of time sitting in a pool of grease. Very disappointing especially for a special occasion. Also disappointed that no member from management spoke with us or made any attempt to apologize. We were all enjoying the evening till the food took so long, a real damper on the celebration.

Such a cute place! I have lived here my whole life and somehow have never been. Their menu is not incredibly vast but it all looks incredibly delicious and considerate of tastes. The service is extremely friendly and the patio in the back is perfect for a beautiful day. FYI: there is shade for those hot summer days. I highly recommend you come here.
