If you’ve never had a handmade tortilla, here’s your chance. If you have, you know what a difference it makes, and these are just right. Tasty seasonings (not loads of salt!), fresh seafood, original veggie & herb blends. Warm, friendly staff, too. Also, after so many floor plans by previous eateries in this spot, I dig the airiness and fun lighting of this dining room. Hope they open up the patio for live music again!
Not your run-of-the-mill Mexican stuff under cheese. All fresh and identifiable foods. The grilled shrimp tacos are amazing, as is the orange and avacado quinoa salad. The bar is very nice and bartenders are great. Bonus: The head bartender is a connoisseur of tequila. Casual, yet very nice place to eat AND you don't leave smelling like most Mexican restaurants.
We really enjoyed Pepe’s, the food and margaritas were very good, the only thing I could say could be improved would be the chips tasted a little stale but could also be because they are house made and not covered/ saturated in salt. Our waitress was great and service was top notch so if it was bad before it has greatly improved but we have no issues what so ever. We will be back for sure! Glad to have this restaurant in downtown Covington.
Best chile relleno l have had in years, king-size, too. Hand-mixed margaritas and good selection of Mexican beers, reasonably priced. Great service.
Taco Tuesday... Don't need to say more. Lol. $2 tacos, any tacos! Several different options for meat and all are good.
Oh, and $5 margaritas too!
Such a cute place! I have lived here my whole life and somehow have never been. Their menu is not incredibly vast but it all looks incredibly delicious and considerate of tastes. The service is extremely friendly and the patio in the back is perfect for a beautiful day. FYI: there is shade for those hot summer days. I highly recommend you come here.
Casey Saba was an enjoyable musical accompaniment to pretty good Mexican food. The service was polite and prices decent. Probably not my most favorite Mexican restaurant but would go back to enjoy the nice backyard patio. 4 stars for being pet friendly.
