El Pavo Bakery - Covina - Photo album

They make an excellent champorado & tamales
Called to see if I could get a custom cake order going, lady on the phone just answered "NO". Website says they do custom cakes, lady couldn't even ask for when I needed the cake or anything, just "NO". Called another Bakery and they took the order just fine. With the selection we have in this area
Friendly customer service. We called in advance to see if they have ready-made cake for purchase, and ended up picking up a dulce de leche 8" birthday day. I thought the price was acceptable, but they cake was way too sweet. Probably won't get that again in the future. I did not try their other
Ordered two pre made cakes and one of them was very rotten they didn't apologize once and did not care at all I'm pregnant and could have gotten very sick, ruined my husbands birthday and had to go out to get him another cake. They refunded us for the little cake but refused to refund for the larger
It was El Pavo, but now it's Crave. The service is abysmal, and the prices seem to be set at random. One week 3 sweet croissants cost $2, this week it's $4... Nothing is marked. The bread is OK, not phenomenal but ok.
For a $1.50 I got half a tamale. 4oz it says on the packaging they're obviously frozen and reheated, not fresh. It had absolutely no taste definitely will not go back!
They charged me $79 for a plain blue cake no decorations nothing special or hard there was no near by cakes willing to make a cake in such a short period of time I just paid it .
Nice quaint place to relax. The bread is tasty and the cakes are great. I recommended it. The tamales are awesome.
