Admittedly wasn't excited to find out only two options on Sundays - Fried Chicken and BBQ ribs. I ordered the ribs and they were fantastic!
Definitely will be back. For days, other than Sunday, they have a menu that should have something for everyone to enjoy.

Stopped in for lunch on our way through and weren't disappointed. Our meals were prepared fast and yet cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The staff all wore their masks and although the seating was still a little close for our comfort it wasn't egregious. Definitely worth a stop.
Service, atmosphere, and food was all delightful! The Ruben was so good but the fries were the absolute BEST! Recommend this place as a must visit while in Council Grove
This is always my lunch stop on the way back from Cassidy motorcycle run. With covid there is no buffet no more but they still have a fried chicken dinner that is and was why we stop. I use to get the bison burger but that has not been offered in years, too bad as they did it great.
Was excited to stop again since it's been years; however disappointing experience. The hostess was friendly but our waitress was grumpy as can be and had to get up to ask for things like ketchup etc.. The pulled pork was very dry and didn't have much if any bbq sauce so that would've atleast helped
When in the area this is must place to eat. Still has original building components that you can appreciate and visualize what this building might of looked like in the 1800’s. Their food is good. I have stopped here twice for lunch. I recommend their Mushroom Swiss burger. This last lime I got their
The Sunday specials are especially amazing. The fried chicken dinner is worth the stop alone! The regular menu is also delicious. We appreciate that the integrity of the historic site is intact.
Delicious! August 2020. Better than Home cooking with 10 stars. I have eaten there twice, tender prime kansas rib first night and then breaded tenderloin with garlic mash potatoes and chocolate pie dessert..WOW
