Jack Binions Steak House

Went to Jack Binion's to kick off date night with dinner and drinks. We were seated exactly at our reserved time. Cory provided exceptional service! Started with the best cheese curds with spicy marinara that I've ever had! Enjoyed a perfectly prepared NY Strip for dinner with a side of bacon crumbles and asparagus. Will definately be visiting again!

I shouldn't have to but, I will preface with, this was our experience only. We're definitely not your typical "visual" normality. With that said, this is also an issue that shouldn't be one. I made a reservation online. We arrived early. 20 minutes actually but we were fine waiting. When my wife an I walked in the door we were immediately met with foul expression, but quickly addressed with the typical cordials. I am heavily tattooed with neon hair but was dressed according to the sites suggestion. My wife is also heavily tattooed. Also dressed accordingly. I only address this as it absolutely had an effect of how we were treated. We were sat at a table and told another set of silverware would be brought. There were 3 tables around us with guests. When the hostess returned she said she was going to move us somewhere quieter. This was literally the same booth, just the other side of the 3 tables. We were now out of their view. 12 minutes we sat unattended. No water, no "I'll be with you". Nothing. Another couple was sat in the booth we were and served immediately. Another waiter with tables ACROSS the restaurant finally came to address us. He was fantastic. So kind, helpful with the menu, absolutely the best and I'm bummed I didn't catch his name. Absolutely fantastic spinach dip, French onion soup was tops. Drink selections, all great. Despite we had plenty of money. Despite being dressed to code. Despite being polite and properly educated in etiquette; we were treated like an eye sore. Like WE intruded on the hostess and other guests. Like we were ruining others meal. For a night we should have enjoyed, without our awesome waiter popping up when he did, we probably would have left. Most likely won't return and it's unfortunate. If you don't "look" the part you will be getting horrible service.

This is an upscale restaurant so it is very pricey. Most of the food I've had here is great, but last night I ordered Gouda Mac n cheese and it had zero flavor. I also ordered a Wagyu burger that came with massively cut potato wedges that were unseasoned and overcooked. It seems like they do well on dinner items, but lack when it comes to their sides, which happen to be priced separately.

Jack Binion's Steak House (at Horseshoe Casino) in Council Bluffs, Iowa, was one of the best meals I've had in a long while! All 4-courses of this meal were absolutely fantastic! The tables were all very clean and the guests seated according to social-distancing guidelines (as of Feb 2021). Jacob - our server was very attentive and friendly. Overall, I was extremely pleased with this dining experience. I will definitely return to this restaurant on my next visit. Thank you!

I have nothing but great things to say about Jack Binions! My husband and I have been going here for date nights about once or twice a year, for a couple of years now. The food is amazing! The staff is always friendly and professional! The deserts are really good as well!! The meals are served a la carte and the sides are served family style. You do have to walk through the casino floor to get to the restaurant, so children or not allowed and they do allow smoking on the casino floor which can either be a plus or a downside to anyone. I really enjoy the atmosphere once you get into the restaurant, with its dim lighting and velvety decor. I will keep coming back to enjoy a great dinner and the cozy atmosphere!
