Not to repeat everyone else, but the staff IS really great. I had the guisada and it was really friggin good. If I hadn't been stuffing my face with it, the picture probably would have been better. Well, maybe next time, because I'm coming back for this mesquite grilled steak that I hear so much about. The steak is only on Wed from 11am till 2pm, and Sat 5pm till 9pm.

This is the BEST FOOD EVER! Delicious hot sauce...but my CHOPPED BEEF SANDWICH is literally the best I've ever eaten! My daughter says the cheese enchiladas are the best too! But, can't stop eating to write her review yet! Very friendly staff!!

$14 of yuck. I fed mine to the "will eat anything" dog and even he backed up. He did eat the rice and beans. Laughably, the dogs reaction to the plate. Was worth the cost. Now to go find some people food.

What a great surprise! This is a sleeper that you should try. I got the plate fajitas and it was great!!!!! It only cost 11.50 for a plate that will fill you up! It’s not a fajita that you get from a chain. This was a large amount of a fajita seasoned brisket! Along with the brisket you get beans, rice potato salad. I will eat here again and I highly recommend El Vaquero

Used to be a favorite of mine but I was actually disappointed this time. First I'll start of by doing $26 for a cheese enchilada plate and a kids 2pc tinder meal is a little steep. But got home and nothing on my plate had any kind of flavor. But I'll definitely still return. 1 plate isn't enough to make me stop going.

All right if you're going to name your Cafe the name that these people came up with you better be a pretty damn good Mexican, restaurant not the best barbecue in town. I don't know about people who live near Laredo or in between here and San Antonio but I have never had potato salad with my Mexican food and I'm never going to again. I ordered the carne guisada plate. The meat was very well made but I was very put off by the potato salad on my Mexican plate and the fact that their daily special was $35.

Rice and beans were raw, the potato salad was watery none had any flavor and the fajita was dry and chewy. This place sucks and it's too expensive for food that's not worth it
