El Tapatio

I love this pace. Part of the reason I give it 5 stars is because it's in Cottage Grove. The other reason is because I truly enjoyed having lunch there - regardless of the city. When u walk in, you feel like you're in Mexico. Staff are awesome and they very attentive - no shortage of chips and salsa before your meal. Diamond in the ruff.

Excellent food, love the sweet corn. The pineapple margarita with 1800 Coconut was Awesome, but thought a price should be on the menu. $14.00 on the bill seemed high, perhaps related to the current admin inflation? Would've given 5 stars, but service was rushed with not much interest in us or personality when restaurant not that busy...

We came here simply because we needed a hot meal after 8:30pm on a weekday night, and most everywhere else was closed or closing. We weren't expecting such kind, attentive service -- I think I must have been asked five times whether I wanted a refill on my drink! The food was just as you'd expect from a family Mexican diner, the restaurant was clean and well maintained. But the service was certainly five stars -- I've been to very fine restaurants where the waitstaff were far less attentive.

I got one of the Camerones options, wrapped in bacon. Very tasty. I enjoyed the meal, the chips, salsa, beans. I liked the decor, comfy seating, clean bathrooms. My only complaint was the service. There were some long delays between when we received our drinks and when she took our order. The food came out quick, but she didn't bring refills or really check on us until she brought the bill and then of course she was quick and punctual to come back and pick it up. The delays were long enough to be noticeable and they weren't particularly busy. Besides that I enjoyed my time there.
