Good stuff:
- EXCELLENT, FRIENDLY SERVICE
- Amazingly clean and organized
- High quality meats and ingredients
- Reasonable prices
-stroller/family friendly
- outdoor dining available
Not so good stuff:
- Parking (especially during rush hour)
Came to the 17th Street deli during a lunchtime rush, about 11:30am, on a Saturday. If you're in a rush I suggest calling in the order to expedite the process.
I decided to come in to get a "feel" for the place.
First thing I notice is how WELCOMING the staff is. There's a home-y type feel to it, like, just walked in to my grandma's house and they just made food.
Second, the cleanliness and organization is tops. It didn't seem to have a stale feel, where there is dust on the chips stand.
Third, and probably most importantly, quality of meats and ingredients are superb. I, myself, ordered the roasted turkey breast sandwich ($9.99) with avocado ($1.50). For myself, the bread was a tad dry but everyone has their preference. Maybe I can just remedy that with extra Mayo. 😂.
On the downside though is the parking. It's in a strip mall, shared with other restaurants and businesses. As with most parking in this area, as i mentioned before, the rush hour time (lunch or dinner) might have you circling the parking lot a couple times while a spot opens up.
All in all, a great place and highly recommended.
It's a family friendly joint, with great service and awesome sandwiches!
I went there to get a pastrami sandwhich. I ordered a sandwhich to go from the counter. Ordering ahead on their website would have been better because parking was a nightmare, I had to circle the parking lot for about 10 minutes to find a space.
I ordered the grilled bread because I want the rye crispy, but after a 35 minute ride home, the bread had gone soft, so thats on me. The pastrami was thick and juicy and very tasty. They only had Boars Head deli mustard, not yellow mustard so the sandwhich didn’t have quite the zip I was hoping for, but overall, I'd give the sandwhich 4 stars. The guy who took my order was friendly and helpful with my order. From order to getting my sandwhich was about 10 minutes.
Excellent, delicious sandwiches. Swift service. This little shopping center can get pretty crazy so prepare for having to circle a few times to find a spot.
I don’t live here anymore, but passed by while I was in the area. 17th Street Deli is an absolute delight and I’m so happy I stumbled upon it! I really was just expecting a sandwich, but you really won’t know until you go..it's a must-visit. Top-notch service, homemade tuna salad, and they’re quick! My wife had the pastrami and said it was one of the best she’s ever had. I guess that one is their special! Don't miss out on this hidden gem!
17th Street Deli is such an amazing place! Ordered the italian and the pastrami which were both beyond delicious. Highly recommend eating here if you are in the area.
very nice and helpful. Ruben was so good and the cashier gave us a free cookie.
The reuben is superior to Langer's and way cheaper. I'm glad I found this place as I don't need to go to LA to satisfy my cravings. The other subs are legit like you would find in NYC.
Me and my comrades ordered quite a large order. 13 sandwiches in total. Along with chips and drinks. Our order was slightly delayed due to high volume of orders but I was very impressed by how the staff remained poised and continued to work despite the stress. Libby was the person who had helped me today and she was beyond kind and she helped make sure our order was perfect. Absolutely delicious sandwiches. Thank you 17th street deli!
Absolutely love this place! Stopped by with my friend to try their sandwiches and here we go, letting you know that it’s definitely worth trying. Helpful and welcoming personnel, yummy food and all in all a nice place for a brunch.
What a great place to get a sandwich! The price is very reasonable considering the portions are huge. I got to chow down on a tender, juicy pastrami with the right combination of pickles and mustard on toasted bread. I was definitely impressed with the food but also the customer service. The owner greeted me when I came in and asked me how my food tasted. He definitely cares about giving you a quality experience. Overall , I would highly recommend this place to deli lovers.
Excellent service. The hot pastrami sandwich is very good.
Keep thinking about the totally tasty pastrami and slaw combo at this Deli! I’m not a big fan of pastrami but I had one on my vacation in cali a couple of weeks ago. It was so good! The bread tasted amazing and the amount of pastrami is no joke! The service is awesome! The guy at the counter said he is a new owner and is open to customer feedback!
Woah!! Was totally not expecting such a great deli based off a google review of nearby delis, but this place was awesome!! Plus they feature two of my favorite foods - breakfast and/or sandwiches!
I ordered a customized Monster sandwich, which was a sandwich with everything I love on a HUGE French baguette! It was like Jimmy John’s, only twice the size bread and a ton better because they used better ingredients!
Very impressed!
Great sandwiches, but slow service (even though I ordered ahead) and a way overpriced.
Deli is now reopened with an updated menu and offerings. Really enjoyed the hand carved pastrami sandwich on toasted rye. What a great assortment of Kettle chips as well and other unique brands. Take your time with the menu as there are many diverse options...including breakfast. Nice upgrade!
Phenomenal, new owners have really done wonders for this place and continuing to improve! They have an out of this world pastrami sandwich and I don't even like pastrami! They also have a new hot sauce called Shaka Sauce that is amazing and it is a locally owned company
Had a great lunch! So welcoming and delicious sandwiches! Definitely going back for lunch everyday!!
