My husband and I went to Mezze 5/25/23 in the early evening. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we were quickly seated on the patio. We ordered hummus and pita along with wine. The hummus was creamy and delicious. The pita was prepared with some oil and garlic and was a bit chewy. We ordered the chicken tagine to share. It was served in a traditional tagine dish. It was delicious and very shareable. What we especially liked about the tagine is that not only was it very tasty, it was also a light entree. We decided to share the limoncello cake which was lemony and not overly sweet. Our server was Bella and she did a great job! When we asked about ingredients, she checked with the chef and made sure we were able to steer clear of troublesome ingredients. She was attentive and professional.

We enjoyed our food and our waiter was very kind and friendly. I think the place is also nice and cozy. Definitely try their ravioli! We tried the Lobster ravioli and it was great! Their grilled chicken kabob was so delicious, too. I think the prices are reasonable and if you are looking for a good meal during your shopping, Mezzet can be a good choice.

This place changed ownership and the dynamics have changed. Regular bartender is gone, as well as regulars I used to see. Subtle changes in quality of food as well. I hope the change is for the good. I'll come back in 6 months. Going back to Capital Grill.

First time eating here at Mezzet and ordered the chicken and steak kabobs which were juicy with just the right amount of spices. The pita bread was unique than any other I've ever tried....not to mention excellent service from Vincent.

Domingo the waiter is fantastic. The chicken kebab is very good and moist, not overcooked at all. Unfortunately the appetizers were not impressive. The Patatas Bravas were literally cubed breakfast potatoes, with a miniscule bit of fine diced tomato/peppers mixture sprinkled on top. I thought they would come in a nice tomato based sauce/drizzle. The falafel was good. The roasted brussel sprouts were good. Overall things were ok, it's just that nothing wowed me, and the prices were kind of high.

Their pizza and their chicken kabobs are delicious. It's on the 1st level of the Costa Mesa mall. I didn't think it was gonna be as good as it is but we go here at least once a month because we really enjoy their food. We've also had their pesto and salads absolutely great food.

The food was delicious, but I didn't like the fact that we were seated right next to the kitchen, when there was plentiful seating, and it wasn't busy at all. Our waiter was alright, but he seemed to be in a hurry for us to order, even though it was our first time eating there, and we were unfamiliar with the menu. I recommend the tabbouleh, although it didn't have the bulgur wheat that I'm used to. The falafel was very good, although it was a bit soft and crumbled easily when I dipped it into the tzatziki<--excellent!

Nice service, excellent food. Green Grains salad is the best salad I have ever had! Came here twice during our stay in Costa Mesa! Will miss here definitely!
