1st visit for lunch today. Had eggplant sub and fries. Fries are handcut delicious. Eggplant was cooked great with spicy sauce. Delish. I will definitely be back.
Loved it! Nice atmosphere & quick service. We ordered two lunch specials with a side of fried pickles. Our only complaint was that the drinks weren't big enough to wash down all the food. Husband loved the bread. The French fries are similar to Five Guys, but better. We'll definitely be back!
So tasty! Fast, high quality, affordable, and wonderfully different from regular Cortland fare. Interesting menu, great flavors, and incredible bread! Try it, you won't be disappointed!
If you haven't been here it's a must to stop and eat. Probably one of the best places to eat!
I’ve been to the ithaca location, as well as gorgers taco shack, and I love everything I’ve ever had from both! Cabernet steak is my favorite sub, but I can’t wait to try more from them! Location is nice and clean and easy to find. Highly recommend!
Great food, friendly staff very clean eating area and did I mention great food. You'll keep coming back for more I guarantee it.
Have been saying for a few years now we needed a Soup/Salad/Sub Place and now we do! Awesome Food all the way around; Chimichurri Steak Salad is my Fav!
The Sub Rolls are so Fresh and tasty; Delicious. Great job! Very Versatile for everyone to enjoy. a Must Try!!!
So, I've been a gorgers fan for a long time now. I was so excited that they were opening in Cortland since it is closer and easier to get to from my house. It's definitely going to be a new dinner spot for us. We tried some new things I hadn't had at gorgers before, the fried pickles were awesome, the French onion soup, awesome, the strawberry lemonade, amazing (not over sweetened, but not too sour either). The fries and subs were awesome as always. We'll be spreading the word.
Another great addition to Historic Downtown Cortland
WOW! I would rate this as one of my top 10 food experiences. From chatting with the chef (who I suspect was the owner) to tasting his glorious creations this is a must go! Everything is made in house from the bread, to pickled veggies, to sauces, and so much more. A rarity in these times. The flavor was on point and the food creativity and presentation leaves you only wanting more. If I lived closer this would be my regular hangout. Seriously, if you haven't been you need to go. So glad we stopped here while in town by chance, but anytime we are in town we will be back. If I could rate this 10 stars I would!
I’ve been ordering from Gorgers for about 4+ years now. Friends, Family & myself LOVE the chicken riggies. I’ve ordered it many times. Matt also catered for my wedding and the food was a hit. Great guy and cares about establishing rapport with his customers. Thanks again Matt! You know I’ll be back!
Pretty much the only place in town where everything is made fresh right in front of you? I’ve seen them make flatbread, subrolls, hand cut potatoes for French fries, bread chicken, etc. Even the chicken breast, pork, steak are all fresh and not frozen. The staff is very personable as well. Lots of flavor in the food! Cant beat it.
Bread is fantastic! Interior is cool looking and comfortable. Kind of expensive. I ordered half of sub while my better half ordered a full sub and it came to $17 dollars, did not include a side or drinks. I wasn’t sure if you could create your own sub, that wasn’t clear on the menu. I ordered a bbq chicken sub and my man ordered a pork and veggie sub. His was lacking meat and mine could have been better, but the bread is the real winner! Just go for the bread and I heard the homemade soups are good, plus it’s pretty in there. Give it a try.
The flavors are spot on. The owner is a very friendly and generous person. The weekly lunch special combo is a must! You can choose any 6in sub with salad, soup, or fries and a drink for $9 picture is the shrimp Po boy with bay seasoning and a side of broccoli cheddar soup but you can get a ceasar side salad instead if dont want soup. The bread is made in house and is delicious.
Pictured is the smoked chicken ramen, amazing! The flavors that they bring out in the food are all unique and wonderful. I haven't had a bad meal there yet!
When someone asks me what the best place in town is, Gorger’s is the easy answer. These guys serve top quality in no time, even when they’re getting slammed.
Great find in Cortland. The menu was good, service great and food delicious. The prices were very reasonable and the three of us all enjoyed our meal. The orders were taken quickly and food delivered quickly too. Not only were our dishes tasty and well presented but they were served piping hot. We would all recommend this restaurant.
Gorgers always does an amazing job with their specials and menu. They have a variety of flavors you don’t usually see. Their ramen is the bestttttt. But my favorite part about coming here is how the guys running it treat you.. like they genuinely care. Highly recommended!! My added photo is a rice bowl
This is about the best food to be had in Cortland. They care about their food and genuinely want to experiment and be better. Interior is pretty dark but that's my only complaint.
