Sonic Drive-in

Take a break from the rush of life and slow down to enjoy a great cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, hot dog, popcorn shrimp, and more. Or how about a delicious ice cream Blast mixed with your favorite candy chunks?

Never been to sonic before! We parked and tried to walk in the front door. But I guess at Sonic you don't go in because all it was was their kitchen! Very funny. They were very nice, and we placed our order outside, then after a short wait they brought it out to us Very hot! I got chicken strips, taters, onion rings(just one). Oh and toast. And gravy. Really nice employees on Padre Island TX. Thanks!

The food and drinks were hot and tasty. It was the perfect meal after a long yet lovely day at the beach. The car hop was pleasant and inviting which only sweetened the deal. The prices are definitely worth the food, drinks, and service we received. I would definitely recommend this location as it is conveniently located near the light before the causeway.

After feeling very ignored at the previous establishment we tried, it was nice to find friendly service. We skirted in a little before closing (the app won't let you order online at this point), and I had a pretty large order. It must've been the manager, at least he dressed the part, that took our order. He did so carefully, repeating back and ensuring it was all perfect...& it was!! He was very friendly, even at us late, large ordering with customizing patrons.

Originally I gave this Sonic a 1-Star Rating regarding the drive-thru employee’s lack of communication and rude attitude. After receiving a message from the Operating Partner, it’s at least a 4-Star for me. From the message I received it was very apparent that they care about their guest’s experience, which I sincerely appreciate.

Placed order... Was cut off mid way through confirming order... Drive through screen never displayed my order leaving me to wonder if I had actually placed the order... Went to door to ask if order was placed and was told by one associate she didn't know... And that she did not understand the question or have any clue if order was placed, while another associate told us they are working on the order , we just need to be patient and wait... Order was completed... Gave associate my card to pay... She returned giving my card back... No thank you , no have a good night, and most upsetting... No ketchup & no offer of any condiments... Food was good except grilled chicken sandwich... Chicken was cold and rubbery, bun was wet and soggy... Like it had been setting awhile... Total customers in parking spaces... 2.... (Including us) Been going to that Sonic for a long time... Since moving to new location... I have never seen it so dead during the 3 days we were just there (last week) Customer service seems to be an issue as was confirmed by other Islanders from the area..
