Their Fried Catfish and Cheese Enchiladas are my favs! Beef Fajitas and Frozen Margaritas are great as well.

This was our 1st time here. I had the 6 shrimp and red potatoes, and a delicious margarita. My husband had the giant burrito.
I can't remember our waiters name, but he was awesome!

This restaurant serves a variety of cuisines making it ideal for groups with mixed cravings. I ate here with a group of friends so we were able to view an assortment of plates. I think the restaurant does a pretty decent job to cater to different tastes.
My only complaints are related to the pitcher of margaritas and the temperature in the restaurant. The pitcher was was way too sour and sugary. It’s possible I just received a bad batch, but I would think twice about opting for the pitcher over the slightly more expensive top shelf individual option.
While it was my first time at this restaurant, my friends had been here a number of times and said the warm temperate was common because of the location of the kitchen in the restaurant.
P.O.E.T.S always a good 👍 choice for steaks. 12oz Ribeye perfectly 👌 seared. Medium rare. Menu is simple and easy to follow. Service was fast and on point. Despite being very busy, I was seated quite fast. My steak was also brought out in a timely manner. Steak was plated very well.
We are only in Corpus Christi once a year and P.O.E.T.S. is a must go to at least once or twice. We have been going there for about 20 years and the food and service is always fantastic. Consistently delicious!
Good service and friendly staff always come by and check and see if you need anything everybody works together as a team food was very very good I highly recommend this place

Attended a large Birthday party. We were seated in the back. Of course, the rest of the restaurant was packed. We still had great service. The food was very good. Everyone had something different & liked it. We had a very good time.

Check prices on menus, price increases not on all menus. They change the prices on your ticket without telling you. Jacob not nice, dosen't care to hear nothing. Other customers complained and he didn't care. No more gatherings or parties there!

I go to poets at least twice a week or more mainly to eat their taco salad in a shell. It is awesome. I always order extra meat and extra cheese with ranch dressing and their chips sauce. It is always fantastic.
Love the fresh Tortilla Strip Chips & salsa!! Best refried beans I’ve ever had! Margaritas are quite tasty 😋!! Lots of good food on the menu.
Came highly recommended by family and I can honestly say it did not disappoint. Had a large family for our table and we were well taken care of throughout. It would have been easy for our server and his support staff to have forgotten about us and allowed our drinks to be empty, gone without napkins or not have ensured our whole group was cared for, BUT that did not happen. All of our group was happy and I can say it is a location I would be comfortable returning to when I am in Corpus visiting family.
Very friendly staff and were very accommodating to my 89 yo father in law. He's been going there for years. The atmosphere had a "small town diner" feel. Ample amount of food for the price. I had the fried catfish dinner which came with a choice of 2 sides from a varied list . I chose house salad and beans and rice. I would order again.

A friend brought my daughter and I soup. I didn’t know what to expect. It was two 8oz to go cups filled with soup, wrapped in plastic wrap. Looked like a basic to go cup of soup. I didn’t know what soup was inside, or where it came from. It was a mystery to say the least. When I sat down and unwrapped it, and took the lid off, the smell was nice, it looked thick and wholesome, it wasn’t until I stuck a spoon in and mixed it around that I realized it was chicken and dumplings. I took a bite, and let me tell you what, it was the best tasting chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had in my 25 years of life on this earth. It was creamy, the chicken was so tender, the dumplings weren’t too big or small, or chewy. All of the veggies inside were cooked perfectly. I could tell it was cooked long and slow. The flavor was the best part of it. It tastes so darn good. I asked her where she had gotten it, and she told me. Now I understand why everyone recommends this restaurant.
I can’t speak about the atmosphere of the restaurant, or the other food items on the menu, but I will say if you enjoy chicken and dumplings, I personally recommend you try out theirs. So yummy!
