Night & Day Cafe

What a wonderful find. We were looking for a yummy breakfast spot in Coronado and we hit the jackpot. The staff were all super friendly, chef went out of his way to make sure everyone was enjoying their meals. Sitting at the bar was so fun to watch the chef work his magic. He is impressive. The breakfast burrito was amazing!!! We will for sure come back next time we are in the area.

My favorite place for breakfast in Coronado. This place is very small. About 10 seats at the counter and 5 tables in front of the restaurant. All of the food is prepared by one person for the entire cafe. If you are lucky enough to snag a seat at the counter you can marvel at the skills of the person preparing all of the food. The portions are huge. The chiliquillas are my FAVORITE! My kids love their fluffy pancakes which are the size of a dinner plate. Bonus points: They also serve beer and mimosas. The mimosas are served in mason jars! The service is always friendly. Seating is usually first come first served and generally goes by the honor system. Sometimes they will start a list. There is a good chance you will wait on the weekends. The food is worth it.

I don't get the hype on this place. Went to the USS Midway and decided to come here for breakfast. It's basic roadside diner food decorated as a breakfast spot in a very nice beach city. All the food had a the quality you'd see at s small diner in the middle of nowhere. The coffee was bitter, food was bland, they don't have much seating available, and they are pricier than what you'd expect from the quality of the food we ate. Their saving grace is their customers service and the breakfast burger. Very nice staff. And the burger was the only thing anyone liked that was flavorful.
