Reluctant Fisherman Inn

It is obvious that the current owners do not want to run this place any longer. (It’s for sale). We had no room service, no restock on toilet paper, the heat was on full blast on an 80 degree day with no room controls, the mattress was so soft we rolled to the middle and woke up with sore backs, and then the price went up on our last day without prior warning. Needless to say we will never stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Reluctant Fisherman Inn and it was an amazing experience! Cordova is such a gem of a town and staying at the Reluctant was a no brainer for me and I was not disappointed. The bar and restaurant are really the cherry on top and the view is breathtaking! Thank you Reluctant Staff! I will be back!

Hotel room was excellent for the price, the bar/grill attached is excellent quality, well built. The atmosphere was phenomenal. Bar was well stocked. Food was awesome and service was above and beyond expectations. If Jake is working he is awesome and works hard to satisfy. 5/5 stars for service to Jake and 5/5 for price/quality of food to the cook. Loved my experience. Will highly recommend this bar/restaurant to anyone. Thank you Jake for such an awesome experience and for cutting me off alcohol when I asked you too. You are phenomenal and deserve the tips. Thank you again.

I have not ever stayed here but I have a little story to tell - I met a man today who said he was a recently laid off chef for this establishment. He was down in Seattle area cleaning his mothers home as she'd just passed away recently. I just wanted to say that he seemed to be such a charming person and I have no doubt his meals were fantastic before he had to leave - I hope he somehow gets to work again as a chef in the Cordova area as he seemed a very fine man.

The hospitality that I received was top notch! They allowed me a late 1pm check out. Then held my bags the the front desk, until it closed at 9pm. Then they allowed me to wait with 5 bags in the bar. Sierra and Shelby were amazing and literally catered to everything I needed while maintaining a customer service that would rival the service's of a large chain hotel. I recommend that you check it out!
