Pardos

Excellent Peruvian food, I didn't notice this place for the longest time but the food is truly excellent. Meat was cooked well, vegetables were delicious, and I loved the fried rice that they made. They also brew a nice espresso and have some great drinks aside from the usual Coca-Cola/Pepsi products.

We visited Para Dos on a gorgeous Miami Saturday afternoon. We were celebrating my parent's 56 Wedding Anniversary and wanted to take them to an intimate restaurant. As soon as we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted by the hostess, and seated promptly. The space is very lovely, the decoration is simple yet pretty. The restaurant was spotless. Our waitress was on point, attentive and brought all the dishes in a timely manner. The food presentation for each dish was beautiful, from our appetizers to the dessert. The portion sizes were abundant. Para Dos advertises their cuisine to be Mediterranean-Peruvian, however; I found their menu to be mostly Peruvian dishes. The seafood dish that we ordered was tasty and the seafood was very fresh. Para Dos is located across the street from a lovely walking area in Coral Gables which makes for a nice after dinner stroll. For those looking for a quiet, quaint and comfortable Peruvian restaurant, I would highly recommend that they visit Para Dos. We will be returning to this restaurant in the future. Tip: The Tres Leches dessert is a must try! Tip: There is a parking garage on the side street.

It used to be an honest good peruvian restaurant. But lately the quality of the service and the quality of the food, both, dropped considerably. I ordered something on the phone and I received something different from what I had ordered. And some of my favorite dishes are not as carefully being prepared as it used to be, mainly the chicken quinoa protein salad (it does not taste close to what it used to be). I hope they will go back to what they were before. The good think is that they respond well if you complain, and they will make it up for it. I just don't want to go to a place if I will have to complain in the end.

Worse experience ever! I went to the restaurant last night for the first time. The place was super loud, the music, the people screaming, the waitress couldn't hear what we were saying, we couldn't talk to each other, the service was horrible, the waitress didn't bring the wine to the table after 25min from ordering it, and he only brought it because we asked again to please bring the wine. Then we got 3 different plates, 2 of them didn't taste good (its worth mentioning that one of my friends is Peruvian and she said the food didn't taste Peruvian at all), and one had frozen veggies on it. The 3rd plate was uncooked and i agreed to have them take it and bring it back, when i got it back it was the same plate in stead of a new one and it was still uncooked. by that time i was already super pissed. We were never offered an apology either witch is very disappointing! I will never recommend or come back to this place ever!

The taste has changed since the new owmership, the pollo a la brasa tastes more Mediterranean than Peruvian, and even then it tastes pretty bland. The price was fair and portion was ok. My real gripe was with the service, the waitress kept forgetting what I had ordered. The busboy was more attentive and brought me a drink of water because the other simply forgot. Same goes for the soup which I got after the main meal because again, she just didn't remember, the waitress seemed more concerned with other tables than checking up on me even as had been trying to ask for the bill. Don't think I'll come back again.

I visited Pardos today for lunch. They did not have their rotisserie chicken so I had to settle for chicken on the grill. That was not a problem. I ordered 1/4 dark with a side of salad. The amount of the single piece of chicken that I received was so small that I thought it was a chicken nugget. I brought this to the attention of the hostess and waiter. The hostess replied that the portion that I received was equivalent to a drum stick. The waiter's explanation wasn't any better. Folks, when I tell you this was small. I am not exaggerating. Pardos was so petty that noticing how disappointed I was, did not offer to bring me another piece of chicken. So not only are they raising prices, they are cutting down on portions. Enjoy!
