We are visiting Breckenridge in April so it is still snowy and we are not skiers so we were trying to find things to do with the family. We decided to try to tubing hill at Copper Mountain. We were not disappointed! You go online to reserve your time and you can tell how many are signed up for your session. I think the max number is 85 and the workers told us there were about 55 in our group. That was a nice number. There were a lot more in the session ahead of us and they definitely had longer wait lines. There is a people mover type magic carpet that takes you back up to the top of the hill so you don’t have to climb it yourself. There were 9 people in our family and we were all able to go down 6-7 times. You can go down by yourself or in large groups, you hold onto each other’s feet and the workers basically sling you down the hill. The staff was awesome, very friendly, and professional. I would definitely go again. I was a little nervous it wouldn’t be worth the money but we all felt it was worthwhile. The magic carpet goes a little slow but it allows you time to catch your breath before you get back to the top. I did ask when the best time to go is and was told when it is sunny and the snow has melted enough that a little ice forms. He said fresh powder isn’t as fun.

We had the best time on Copper Mountain's Tubing Hill during our family vacation to Colorado. The parking was a bit packed, but the buses run constantly and we had no trouble getting to the mountain. We tubed as a family, as individuals, in pairs .. we all had a blast! The hill wasn't packed, so we were able to tube as many time as we wanted during our hour! Tubing is a must when you're in Colorado!

Really fun mountain and good trail layout. Most of the greens are concentrated in one area, so easy for beginners to practice without worry about running into too difficult of a run. As someone who enjoys blues & the occasional black, was nice to have those areas of the mountain sparsely crowded. What's great about Copper is that the runs are LONGGGGG. Make sure to take the Rendezvous & Sierra lifts for some bowl-like skiing even if you're more on the beginner/intermediate side. Beautiful!

Went here to ski a couple days in late March. The skiing itself was great. There are nicer and newer resorts that provide a better holistic experience if that's what you're looking for. Copper looks its age. But if just wanting to enjoy skiing for less money, a good choice. There are also other things to do around the area...Snowmobiling 20 minutes away near Leadville. Hiking at Mayflower Gulch 5 minutes away. Town of Frisco with good dining 10 minutes away.
The beginner area was good once you get to it, with two different sections (beyond the magic carpet) that really help with learning and being challenged in a safe way. But unfortunately there is no easy way to get there from the base. You have to trudge uphill quite a ways in ski boots to get to that area. Other green trails in west village were fun and some are quite long.
The bus system between areas was pretty good. The places to eat that we tried were decent as well.

Parking was easy with free or paid lot options. Incredible variety of terrain from 12,400 ft steep bowls to groomers to many park options with half pipes. Fantastic lifts makes it easy to get around the entire mountain. Great food options on mountain like TRex Grill or the base areas. Spectacular views of fourteeners in the bowls.

If you are coming from out of town GET HERE EARLY. Parking can be challenging. The shuttle system is very convenient. If you are a beginner the bunny hill is great but can get super busy. Getting here and leaving from Denver can get pretty lengthy on Saturdays.

We love Copper. Free parking. Comfortable buses. Easy switch from one ski area to another. My only suggestion would be to open lifts at 8:30am instead of 9 am, at least on weekends.

Great place to take kids to learn to ski. Lots of convenient ski in/ski out condos. We had a wonderful time, would come back again!
