Good BBQ, that seems to be a bit different than the normal fare. Most of the flavors, tastes, and even some of the food textures are a bit different from my expectations. The pork BBQ has very distinct notes of beer, which I enjoyed. I asked for bread (for a sandwich delivery system) but ended up not using it as the pork was great alone. The pork ribs were pretty standard but were still well seasoned and moist. Personally, I didn't care for the coleslaw. The jalapeño sweet corn had a very sweet taste and almost a bread pudding consistency. Overall, I would highly recommend a stop to try out these unique tasty flavors.
Pretty darn good. We got off the plane and had to find some brisket. Found this place. Smoky as all get out in the parking lots and had many cords of wood. I knew it was going to be good. The meats were all good. The cobblers were a little gummy but still tasty. Didn't have any other sides. The walk through cafeteria style is funky fun. All the help were great. Lots of parking. I'd go back and try some chicken and maybe some smoked bologna. Oh yeah, the fried okra was really good and was a very large portion.
Tasty food and a great experience! Huge location with plenty of parking. You walk in the door and you can see the pits smoking. Large warming area and they let you select the type and amount of meat. We were able to try most. Just got smaller portions and shared. We tried the ribs, pulled pork (a bit salty but still good), brisket (tender and tasty), sausage (delicious), turkey breast (amazing), and bologna. They had individual potato salad and mac with cheese. Perfect size for a person. They also had individual banana pudding (excellent) and whiskey pie (good). Try their hot sauce! All the food was great. Nice big seating area with a bar and TV's. Huge patio . This is a great spot to try Texas BBQ!
Tasty food and cool experience from a home grown Californian. The area where we ordered our meat was so hot and humid (understandably) so the covered outdoor seating was a nice refuge. Their food has was tasty and a sure fire way to fatten you up!
I had never been to a place like this before - it is pretty amazing. It was 100+ degrees outside, but they had multiple smokers going and the food that you choose from was sitting on a hot grill. We ordered the brisket and a sausage and that was plenty for the two of us.
This is a legit BBQ place and if you are in the area this is the place to go! If you have a large party there is plenty of space for all of you. We found an area off the outdoor patio that was actually indoors with A/C - that was the place to be!
We ordered pulled pork, brisket, sausage, half chicken, and corn from the guys standing at the smoker. Inside, we ordered mac & cheese, salad, jalapeno sweet corn, coleslaw, potato salad, fried okra, French fries, and Oreo mud pies. I don't think this place is the best around DFW, but it was still really good. The sweet corn is warm and is excellent. Lots of seating including outdoor seating with a roof. The décor inside makes for a great experience overall.
Pretty much all of the meats and corn-on-the-cobs are smoked right in front of you. You will walk away smelling like BBQ.
Authentic Texas BBQ.
You order straight from the pit, then carry your tray to be weighed inside. They have fun sides like creamed corn and fried okra. There is a huge communal bean pot for free, so fill up if you're hungry.
Food was great with all the usual suspects. Not the "best", but authentic and very tasty. Can't ask for much more.
Was a little confusing that the bar area is separate, but makes sense as you can refresh your bevvy without waiting in the BBQ lineup.
Jan 2022 almost no one was wearing masks.
The best BBQ I've had in a long time! I ordered the 8oz ribeye, medium rare, with corn and slaw!
So delicious and so tender! Better than most steak houses! Environment was friendly and staff was helpful and friendly! Place was packed on a Tuesday night! So worth the wait!
