Last night, my husband and another couple had a wonderful dining experience at Kingfish. 3 of us enjoyed the bluepoint oyster appetizer, and then dove into delicious dinners. I had the wild Pacific salmon with quinoa, snap peas, roasted peppers, honey lemon vinaigrette. Jeffrey and Matt had the Shrimp & Scallops Sauté with all w/green beans, mashed potatoes & lemon butter, and Dar enjoyed the snapper special. All were divine, served by Mark, who was extraordinary, attentive, and prepared to make excellent suggestions for drinks, wine and dinners. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable, yet elegant. Dress is 'business casual', but men can wear dressy shorts, no cut offs or t-shirts. What a great evening we had.

It was very nice to go to a restaurant that has a vegetarian menu also.. I had the BBQ carrots and harvest plate... both were fabulous... my husband had the king crab legs and he said they were as good as we had when we were in Alaska...very nice atmosphere and decent service... we will definitely go back

Excellent food, attentive service, gorgeous setting! The scallops were amazing and the lobster bisque was the best I've had. Fine dining experience with a little lower price point than you'd expect.

The Big Eye Tuna (Hawaii) & Scallops was amazing, excellent vodka martinis served with blue cheese stuffed olives. The service, presentation and atmosphere was top notch. We highly recommend Kingfish located at 115 Montrose W Ave, Copley, OH 44321. ;-)

Kingfish is one of the very best seafood places I have ever visited, and I was stationed in Hawaii and San Diego. The chef is innovative, creating delectable sauces and stunning presentations. Our host was Mark T, who knew everything about every item on the menu, and seemed to appear throughout the meal at just the right times. Kingfish is our new "special occasion" restaurant!

Phenomenal food. We went there for my birthday and got the calamari, scallops, and their special the blackened black bass. Everything was perfectly cooked and the beer/wine choices are awesome too! Highly recommend... we have been to their sister restaurant Blue Point as well and we love them both equally!!

My wife and I went out for a late Valentine’s Day dinner. My wife is fairly picky when it comes to restaurants (especially seafood, as she’s from the west coast), but we were both very happy with the service and the food was fantastic as well. She also loved the blood orange mimosa. We’ll be back and next time we’ll be bringing friends or family!

Awesome place!!!! Great atmosphere. Joe ( the bartender) was awesome. Food: King Crab Jambalaya- 8 stars ( could have had a little more heat, but a generous portion) Shrimp Cocktail- 9 stars. Great texture, and only $1.50 per piece during happy hour. Chicken Skewers- 7.5 stars ( wish they were all white meat). Ceviche- KICK ASS!!! 9 stars.

We (my boyfriend, myself and my grammy) went to celebrate my grandmothers birthday early. As well as try the restaurant for the first time since they had a great addition to their fall menu. We have heard different opinions from others but had a wonderful time on a Sunday afternoon after church. Our 1pm reservation was a great time, we were seated immediately. Very personable and knowledgeable staff. The decor and atmosphere with the artwork was very beautiful and clean. We tried two salads , a bibb lettuce with bacon and avocados, one with a poppyseed vinaigrette with arugula pecans and apples. We all had the twin lobster tail entrees. Everything was amazing. Very flavorful and fresh. Our server even brought out a creme brulee to share for my grandmothers birthday on the house. Very creamy and delicious. Overall we will definitely be back to try scallops and a few other items.

Unfortunately, this was our first time. Honestly, we would've tried it much sooner if the sign didn't look, well, fishy. The combination of the name, the sign and the restaurant hill location, which these days raises a red flag to most Akronites, sadly kept us away. We finally tried it b/c a friend said it was actually fine dining. Curiosity got the better of me, and boy am I glad it did! Fantastic service from start to finish (which sadly)we don't find much in Akron these days. Each course was exquisite, probably the best damn martini (Belvedere) I've ever had...crafted superbly. The bread fantastic. The manager stopped by our table to check on us after our entrees arrived...the temperature was perfect, the music was perfect, the decor and atmosphere fabulous! After our meal, I inquired w/the server, who owned the restaurant? Who the chef was, etc.? She explained it was the same group that owns The Blue Point in CLE, as well as other superb restaurants. My husband and I glanced at each other a knowing look...ahh, this explains everything! I wish they would've just said so...! If that sign had read "The BluePoint South" (It's South of CLE & the cuisine has a bit of a Southern twist), We would've been there the week it opened! I mentioned this to many friends and they muttered the same sentiments, they'll be trying it now. My biggest regret is that we haven't been dining here since it opened!!

Excellent food choice and everything was first class. Our waiter Ryan did not miss a beat and was so tentative to our needs.

It was truly an excellent experience. The cocktails were tasty the atmosphere was warming. The food was exceptional , we both ate the special which was surf and turf . That lobster tail was the biggest I've ever seen . It was delicious . My husband and I do a date night every Friday and we visit different restaurants from Cleveland to Akron . Kingfish was truly the best for us this year 2017.

This upscale eatery has some of the best, freshest seafood for a restaurant not in an ocean coast. The Blue Point oysters were delicious, plump and juicy. The minuet sauce served with them was just the right accent to add a burst of brightness. The wedge Caesar Salad had hands down the best dressing I've had by far. It had just the right balance to it and a nice anchovy hint. For the main course I ordered the Kingfish trio of lobster tail, scallops, shrimp, lobster mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The lobster tail was nice and sweet and of course paired well with the drawn butter. The scallops had a great sear and we're perfectly cooked. Then there is the simple shrimp that was some how turned into some of the best shrimp I've tasted! I can't pick out exactly why, but it was wonderful with the a small dollop of the seafood based sauce which contained a little brandy and was obviously flavored with lobster shells. The lobster mashed potatoes were the perfect starch for this dish along with perfectly cooked, crisp, tender, large stalk asparagus! For dessert I tried the creme brulee which was so silky and delicious. I would recommend this establishment for any special occasion, or just a great Saturday night dinner.

First time I can recall going to a restaurant owned by Hospitality Restaurants but after this visit, I'm looking forward to visiting others in the area. Their restaurants seem perfect for a special occasion. We celebrated three years together and our recent engagement. I had the Atlantic Cod dish recommended by our server Griffin. My fiancé had the crab cakes; both where divine to eat. Before that we had the lobster bisque and spring salad. Those where good portions and good choices to start our meal. For dessert we shared the keylime pie. An excellent way to close out the meal. Place was clean, staff and management was attentive, and menu is solid. Hope to make a return back for another special occasion.

We had a fantastic dinner .. started out with oysters on the half shell (a dozen apiece) delicious .. I got the Kingfish Trio (lobster tail, scallops, and shrimp) with lobster mash potatoes & asparagus .. Johnnie got the Blackened Swordfish, with mash potatoes and green beans .. and he added Scallops .. we also added a sharable side - the Cajun Risotto (our dinner looked so good when it arrived I forgot to take pictures) everything was so delicious and cooked perfectly .. our server Abbie was extremely helpful and patient, we had several questions (this was our 1st time here) .. will most definitely be back. FYI ..and they have Happy Hour Monday thru Friday 4:00p to 6:00p and all day on Sunday with appetizers and drink specials .. we will definitely be going there again ..

As an overall dining experience, Kingfish deserves five stars. The dining room is softly lit and upscale looking. It's pleasurable to have a welcoming host seat you and check on you during your meal. A server just to fill your water, and yet another server to take your orders and serve your food and drink. If I had any complaints about the overall experience, it would be that the music is a tad loud. Now...I came at an odd time of day, and the restaurant was nearly empty and very quiet, so that may be why the music seemed louder than I expected. I ordered a Bellini cocktail. I've seen pictures online, but never tried one. It was tasty, but not very attractive here, which was a slight disappointment. They have always looked prettier in pictures. For an appetizer I chose the lobster bisque, and it was excellent. Very savory and creamy. A bread service was also provided, consisting of warm slices of sourdough bread and butter. I love sourdough bread, so I was delighted. So flavorful, and it was literally steaming, moist with a firm crust. The attention to detail in the piped butter was visually delightful. I chose the trio for my main course. Shrimp, lobster tail and scallops, with lobster mashed potatoes and asparagus. I won't lie. I'm an American accustomed to large portions for my money. And this menu choice was probably the most expensive on the menu. The lobster tail was miniscule. The shrimp and scallops were substantially sized, and everything was well prepared and tasty. I'm just spoiled I guess and have had the pleasure of eating lobster in a lobster pound in Maine with sides and a dessert for twelve bucks...so fifty dollars for a few bites of lobster hurts a little. I will say that after the appetizer and main, I was satisfied and had intended to get the check and leave. But my server told me that there was both key lime pie and crème brûlée on the dessert menu and I was hooked. Two of my favorite desserts. I will say that the menu choices here go very well together. Sourdough bread and key lime pie tie in very very well with the seafood theme. Ultimately though, I opted for the crème brûlée, because I like to see how various restaurants execute it. I was intrigued at this restaurant's approach because it was presented with a cornbread Madeleine. I was not impressed with the Madeleine. They should be spongy and delicate. I think cornbread is a poor choice here. Cornbread is good and has its place, but it's too heavy for a Madeleine. It was heavy and dry. I took one bite and was disappointed. The crème brûlée however was everything I wanted. The crust was nice and crunchy and fun to break into. The custard was rich and delicious. I did enjoy the two fat, juicy raspberries plopped on top. So juicy and a nice addition. Overall, pricey, but a relaxing, upscale dining experience.
