Gen Korean Bbq House

Ample of parking space. Saturday dinner obviously we had to wait for almost an hour, but it was worth the wait. The server who took care of us was very friendly and we were given much attention even when the restaurant was packed. Very good food, they dint have the tongue on the menu but overall the variety of the food, ambiance of the restaurant and the service was too notch. We ordered gulbi, 2 pork belly and rice on the side even before we sat down and the food was out in no time. We dint even order appetizers yet. Lovely and will be back again.

This was my 1st experience at a Korean barbecue with my husband and it was amazing. The staff was very good and at checking in at good intervals instead of being persistent. They did change the grill pan various times during our meal which I truly appreciated. The quality of the meat also seemed fresh and really good

By far the worst Gen I've ever been to which is a real shame. Visited for dinner on 1/29/2022. When we pulled we went around the wrong side of the building and the door was busted out and covered in plywood. We thought that maybe it was out of business until we saw some people walk out. We should have left. We walked in and a woman was standing around waiting for someone to show up to the hostess stand because apparently she was picking up food to go? Finally someone showed up and she got her to-go bag and we put our name down on the waiting list. We should have left. I went to the bathroom while we waited. One whole sink was missing a fixture, the other sink was broken and wouldn't turn off, but only the broken sink had a working soap dispenser. We should have left. I have Celiac so I can't have gluten. Soy sauce has gluten, so I can't eat anything marinated here. Unfortunately almost everything we ordered that we know doesn't have gluten was out of stock. I settled on brisket, pork belly and a premium steak. When they dropped off utensils, both pair of tongs were visibly caked with food. I handed them back to the waitress and she said, "oh they're dirty." Uh, yeah. Dishes were also really chipped which I know is a health code issue. The new tongs she brought over were visibly broken with the plastic heat protector hanging on by a thread. (See pics) I asked the waitress if I could have a dish with only oil in it because I have Celiac and can't have soy sauce that was in my original salt / oil / soy sauce dish. She came back with a 3 compartment dish of oil and EVERY SINGLE COMPARTMENT had drops of soy sauce in it. Is this a joke? At this point I was over it and just had the green tea salt solo on my food. Meh. (See pics.) Food wasn't good and it just felt dirty. Worst Gen experience ever. We should have left!

So yummy! 😋 Wait time was not long for a party of 3, less than 15 minutes. Yah!! Good selection of meats to grill and a few appetizers offered. Everything was pretty good, once service started, our server came by pretty often and kept us informed of wait times for certain foods or other suggestions for ordering. People came by and cleared plates pretty quickly as well. Rice cakes appetizers were a little hard and their tofu soup was watery and tomato-ey tasting but other than that everything was very good!

This place is the worst Korean BBQ restaurant ever. Stay away from this place . It doesn't even deserve a one star. Came here to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was a disaster. Our server was terrible. She was very irritated and was very sarcastic. Most of the side orders are not available. Then all of sudden the server came out with a full tray of side dishes after she told us that they don't have them anymore and She filled our table with side dishes. And Probably saying "here you go stick in your a@k ". Ordered soup and appetizers but never got them. We got the soup towards the end of the meal after we made a complaint and it was cold already. Ordered one pork belly and she gave us 3 orders at the end of the meal. We have a few left over meat and one of the server said " we will charge you for left over meat" . Called the Manager but did nothing. Only gave us a discount on drinks instead of not charging us for the entire meal. Called the owner and he was mad because the manager gave his phone number to me and he was out of town. Wow!!!! What a joke!!! No solution was offered. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone especially my family and friends. Such a bad experience and ruined my wife's Birthday. Stay away...... Service is very important and if you don't know how to provide a good service then get your Sh&t together. Hire people who are passionate about providing good service.
