Thai Rim Nam Restaurant

We go to this lovely Thai restaurant a few times a year for family occasions. It’s great on a good day as you can sit outside on the lovely covered deck and it’s next to the water at Como. Today was freezing cold but we were given a warm welcome inside. I like that the tables are not too close together. The food was delicious, the servings were beyond generous at reasonable prices. The service was great and the staff were very helpful in serving the birthday cake we brought along. Highly recommend.

My husband & I came for a birthday lunch recently. Lovely atmosphere and good service. We both ordered vegetarian mains with tofu. The vegetables were fresh, but the tofu in both dishes was dry, leathery and tasteless. Was more like tofu 'skin' As vegetarians our options were limited, so if Thai Rim Nam could improve the way it prepares its tofu - we'd be very grateful.

Just like it’s sister restaurant Monkey Thai, Thai Rim Nam has the most perfectly cooked and presented food. The food tastes clean and healthy, not soaked in oils or heavy. The presentation of the food is some of the best you’ll see. The staff are incredibly friendly and kind, as well as the owners who were happy to have a chat with my partner and I. Highly recommend dining at Thai Rim Nam (and also it’s counterpart Monkey Thai!), you will honestly be blown away.

The food is magnificent, so from that point of view it's a big thumbs up. The service is way overdone. I went for lunch with my wife and ended up non stop talking to the waitresses, and when you tell them where o.k and we'll get your attention if we need to, they say alright then and they are back at your table in 5 minutes time. It's painfully frustrating. We just want an intimate meal together, with minimal interruptions. The ambience of the restaurant and the food is fantastic, please work on giving a little more privacy to those who ask for it, it's a great place to eat.

Having given them another go this lockdown we were impressed. A few months back lunch in the garden was pleasant and last night take away was superb. The Buddha Bowls are delicious, though usually available as a lunch option they were very kind and made it for us for dinner. The Curry puffs and Duck pancakes were on point. Delicious

My favourite Thai restaurant!!! Generous portions of tasty Thai goodness. Attentive friendly staff. The place is full of conversation and laughter. You know how they say a crowded restaurant is a sign of a good restaurant? This place proves the point. A must visit. 😀 By the way, the Green Curry is to die for.
