Big E's Bbq

My husband and I visited on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy, which was fine with me. We ordered the rib plate which only can with 4 ribs, 2 pickles and 2 slices of bread for $7.99. My only issue was the ribs was dry and small. The taste was okay but I wished that they were a little bigger and juicer. We will return. We're still happy customers. Thank you.

When they first opened they were great, since then they have just gone down hill. I have a big family to feed, so i had a pretty large order. I get there at 3:59pm and ask if they have any specials, and drive-thru person tells yes, but not until 4pm? Really? So I do order the special, and another item, then she cuts me off and tells me my total, I said I wasn't done ordering, and give my total order. I get up to the window and hand her one of my debit cards, she then turns to a someone inside and ask of the CC machine is working, then she informs me that it is down. I usually don't carry a lot of cash on me, I did have the money to pay for it in cash, but i thought to myself why am I going to frequent an establishment who treats their customers like crap, so she handed my debit card back and I left. They do have good food. But service is a big issue, and there are a lot of BBQ places I can visit with better service. I have ordered in the past from there and they have run out of bun bread, so they put the meat on their toast, and when I came home it was a soggy mess. No more, it will be a while, if i even go back there.

Ordered rib plate and added a side of green beans. Green beans were a joke at $1.50 (see pic). However, the ribs were huge and I couldn't finish them. As to taste, they were a little salty for my preference, but they were not tough and were tender enough. I didn't try their sauces so I didn't cover up the ribs, but had them as they were intended and they were decent. The restaurant seemed a bit smokey, like it wasn't ventilated well, but I didn't mind that, I don't have asthma, but someone who does might have an issue.

I'm a full blown Texan and grew up eating some of the best BBQ in the world! I was going to subway and saw Big E's next door and on a whim decided to try them. I got the BBQ Chicken Platter with a side of potato salad and Brunswick stew and I will say, this place is AWESOME! Not only was the price VERY reasonable but they loaded the plate with FALL OF THE BONE chicken that was so tender and VERY little fat! Thank you for such a delicious experience!

Decided to try out this place and I'm definitely glad I did. Bobby helped me with my order. He was really knowledgeable. and patient as I kept going back and forth with what to order. Bobby really made the experience. And all the guys in the kitchen were getting work done. You guys are awesome. Keep up the good work.
