We ordered cabbage as a side, and got a vague answer about how long that would take. Service was a touch slow, but oh my word, the food was worth it! In truth, the cabbage was actually a bit bland, but the chicken more than made up for it. We had the curry and the brown stew, and both were worth the wait. The potato salad was terrific, and the plantains just the thing to balance out the spicy prep on the chicken. $10 per entrée tonight, with some still left for tomorrow's lunch? We'll be back, for sure.

Ordered the jerk chicken, curry chicken, peas and rice, cabbage and plantains. Chicken was very tender and juicy. Both the jerk and curry were very well flavored-spicy but not too much. Cabbage still had some crunch and not overcooked. The medium portion was more than one meal. And I am looking forward to the leftovers! This is going on our rotation of restaurants!

Jerk chicken was also very good, had a barbecue like sauce on it.

Another fantastic voyage!! Another delicious experience!! We ordered the Oxtails, Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat. The sides: potato salad, Mac-n-cheese, peas & rice and cabbage. I prefer baked Mac-n-cheese, but it was still YUMMY!!!!!! The customer service wasn’t the best and there were communication issues between the employees and the customers. But I will Absolutely be back!!! 😋

The Best Jamaican food I’ve had in Columbus and the prices are good. The Jerk Chicken is absolutely amazing. If you haven’t eaten here then what are you waiting for?!

The Service was very professional. I got the Curry Goat and the lady was very generous with the portions of food definitely worth the $12 bucks. The food is to die for and I'm recommending this restaurant to everybody I know. I definitely will be a regular customer at this joint!!😁😁😁🔥🔥🔥

Hi good evening, just want to let you know that i came by the Restaurant today for lunch, i bought 4 meal for me an my co-workers, curry goat, jerk chicken, oxtail and escovitch fish with rice & beans, plantains and cabbage.. the food was lovely, (OMG).. a great experience at island escape Restaurant!! Excellent food and presentation, reasonable prices, great services and wonderful people.. island escape Restaurant is absolutely the best Jamaican in Columbus ohio.. i will definitely return with my family and friends..

(1)Thier red snapper escovitch fish was great. (2)Jerk chicken was just right. I tend to like Lady Nays Jerk chicken. But, Island escape does a decent job. The chicken was juice and not dry. (3) I plan to try the oxtail and curry goat in the next.(4) The rice and peas was not bad either.

It’s hard to find an authentic Jamaican spot in Columbus. That’s why I love this place. The food was the good and the prices are reasonable. It has a real nice family vibe, but get there early sometime they can sellout of popular items!
