I love this place. This traditional southern restaurant is true to its name. I have never had a better deep fried catfish dinner anywhere else to this day.
Wonderful service and a vast menu, you'll be coming back for more.
Overall good but this place has been hit or miss for me. The side dishes are always on point but the main course is hit or miss I've had whiting that was good and a few pieces that were not so good I've had ribs with the same result. There cake is good. The service is substandard sometimes the cashier is a little unprofessional for my taste but not bad enough for me to stop going. I'd would recommend it especially since there open late if you want a good meal.
Finally talked the wife into trying this place, I've been here a few times and always enjoyed it. She never wanted to go before because she judged it by the strip mall it was in. Well now it will be in our regular rotation! If your in the mood for southern food definitely stop there and don't judge it by the strip mall or you will be doing your taste buds an injustice!
An absolute treasure on Columbus' north side. The food is "the bomb"! Service is personal and with a smile. Throw a dart at the menu and enjoy!
Food was very good, had ribs, mac n cheese and coleslaw. The sauce for the ribs was very good, mac n cheese was excellent! Will definately get food from here again!
The order was cooked fresh. The food was very good. Greens had a little spice to them. Catfish was nicely seasoned. Cole Slaw was also well made.
The food was great…. They forgot my muffin but I didn’t even complain the food hit the right spot and the taste was great… will be goin again
The service was great. The pork shoulder sandwich was generous, tender and delicious. The collard greens were spiced just right. I'll be back.

I couldn’t give this restaurant a 5 because they need to work on customer service. The food is always delicious there but I think it’s overpriced for the amount of food I receive. It’s my go to spot for soul food in Columbus. I love the baked beans and fried fish the most here. Everyone can’t do baked beans and greens. They do amazing with the greens as well. I think when you order ribs you should receive more for the price you pay. I love this place and once they get better with speaking politely to people and not making them feel like they are a bother when they walk in the rating can go up!

The rib tips were very good, the collard greens could use some salt but I'm pretty sure they have seasonings set out. The Mac n cheese was good also. Very good customer service, and I felt like I was eating at my grandma's with the fam!

The staff was really friendly. All of the food looked delicious, but I went with some barbecue ribs and macaroni and cheese. The barbecue sauce was some of the best I have ever had (I guess it was the owner's grandfather's recipe). I have never tasted sauce like that before. I wish they sold it by the bottle, because I would buy a case. I have had barbecue all over the country and this was definitely one of the top three experiences I have had. It had a wonderful mom and pop quality atmosphere that made for great food, great conversation, and wonderful family memories! The rest of the table had catfish and they had nothing but good things to say about it. The barbecue was literally cooked on a grill outside the front of the restaurant. Couldn't ask for a more authentic place. If I am ever in Columbus, Ohio again, this place is definitely on my list of places to visit! It was in an easy to get to location and I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you haven't been before and if your in the mood for some great home cooking and friendly service. Also, for the quality of the food and the atmosphere, the prices were great!
