I had an amazing dining experience at Riziki Swahili Grill! The food was incredibly flavorful, and the Swahili dishes were a delightful change of pace. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. I'll definitely be returning for more delicious Swahili cuisine. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect! The staff is so kind and welcoming, and the food is delicious. We ordered the goat curry chapati with beans and the chicken curry ugali with greens, and four sambusas, and we loved everything. All delicious and flavorful and the portions were plentiful. Plus you have to order a ginger juice!! We met Riziki herself and told her about our experience with Tanzanian cuisine (my fiancé’s mom is the child of missionaries to Tanzania and she makes Tanzanian dishes often) and she kindly offered us complimentary sambusas to take home :) We will 100% go back.

We had a wonderful lunch today, featuring the taste of Africa. All the dishes were delicious and the owner took the time to describe what each item was and where it originated. We really enjoyed the Moroccan soup and samosas. It was definitely one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had in years and can’t wait to come back.

An amazing mix of Indian and African fare. We had sambusa, chapati beef curry and Zanzibar special with chapati. The sambusa are eggroll thin, crispy and pipping hot. Filled with a savory ground beef that is delicious and impressive. The Zanzibar goat is crispy, chewy caked in spices cumin, pepper, that cut through the crispy laminated buttery chapati. A must have if you visit. Chapati beef curry was a fantastic mix of tomato beef akin to Shanghai style staple. Hosts were very amicable and available. Enough space for 5-6 parties of 3-4. Groups larger than 7 would be a bit cramped.

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint. Their dishes are packed with flavor and with genegerous portions, some of the dishes are definitely shareable. Staff is very friendly and although seating is a bit tight they were able to accomodate our group of 12+. Highly recommend the zanzibar special if you like goat meat (p.s- no meaty smell). I can't wait to go back.

This place is amazing!! Some of the best Swahili food I’ve had. Their chai tea is amazing too, and the sambusa is to die for, I could eat so many of them. I got goat curry biryani and the meat basically melted off the bone, it was cooked perfectly!! Not to mention, the woman working there is so friendly and kind! Definitely coming back and recommending to friends. Go here if you want authenticity.

I spent 2 years in Tanzania, and this restaurant is a gem. 100% authentic and delicious. It is a quaint, unassuming restaurant with fantastic food and friendly/welcoming environment and staff. Eating here took me back to Tanzania and was delightful. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves East African food or is interested in trying something new and authentic.

Hidden gem of authentic Swahili food with a simple relaxing atmosphere. We got Zanzibar special fried fish with curry on top. Beef and chicken sambusa (samosas). Goat curry with cozy spice.

The reviews are right, this place is amazing and a gem! The people that work there are super nice. Has a small indoor dining area (not sure if you can eat in now with the pandemic), takeout/phone orders, and delivery. We tried sambusa, beef curry chapati, and chicken chapati, plus mango drink. The sambusa (we tried beef, chicken, and vegetable) were light and crisp with nicely seasoned fillings. The chapati was amazing, delicious and flaky. Both the chicken and beef were tender and the sauces were delicious and very interesting. The curry wasn't overly spicy but extremely flavorful. We also tried the bean side dish, which was good too!
