Oldfield's

It's a local neighborhood tavern. Good drink specials daily, fun activities during the week. Passionate bunch of customers, in the good way. I like the mix of music (usually a mix of very late 60s to current pop/rock, plus some crossover country and hip-hop that's piped in and out on the street so sometimes you get a little pick-me-up as you pass by. Staff is warm, friendly and doesn't skimp on the booze. Trivia and karaoke nights are a riot. Patio for the warmer months and college and national sports leagues on multiple televisions. Nice sensible rules for decorum. It's supposed to be a small, homey tavern, and it fulfills that function perfectly. Can't speak for parking (no car) but that area of town is context dependant.

I have been going to Oldfields for almost a decade now. The bartenders are always great, the alcohol is fairly priced, and they have the best karaoke on campus. I would like to describe it in greater detail, but after going there at least a hundred times I probably only have about 20 minutes of sober memories!
