Such a gem of a place. The interior is unlike any I've ever seen in Columbus or elsewhere. It's thoughtfully decorated from corner to corner, with really special touches that must have taken some serious curation. It's a warm retro vibe without feeling like a caricature or replica. Despite how packed it was, the service was so friendly and the drinks were delicious. They even have some seriously great vintage for sale in the back. I can't think of another place that can flawlessly pull off tacos + vintage within a few hundred square feet.
This place, Little Palace, and Club 185 are three of my favorite places in this city for being affordable and laid-back without compromising service and quality. It's no coincidence they're all sister restaurants.
The perfect place to grab a margarita, tacos, and good vibes! We hosted a small get together around 9 pm and had the best time.
Went in for drinks, drinks were better than I thought they'd be. Not a big mixed drink fan, but I did not regret the margarita nor the Paloma. Both were great. The atmosphere was nice, the decorations were very mid-century, and it was very well put together. The seating is different, it's like sitting in a different part of your aunt and uncle's house, but in a good way. The bamboo tiki bar or the redwood deck furniture, which is where I'm sitting next time. Or you can sit at the bar which was very well laid out with a very large fish hanging over it. I had a great time and I will be going back. As far as price, the drinks were well made and not that expensive. The ingredients list was extensive, had some really nice tequila listed.
Actually have a cigarette machine beside the bar, hadn't seen one of those in 25 years, it doesn't work, which kind of sucked. But I get it nobody wants to smoke anymore. A patio on the back would be nice someplace where you could sit and maybe smoke a cigarette that you got out of the machine, who knows or a cigar. They have that whole Madman Don Draper thing going on with the mid-century modern furniture.
Again it was nice, kind of like stepping back into the 60s and '70s hanging out at your aunt and uncle's house, the fun ones.
Such a fun spot for drinks and tacos! The vibes are lovely and the service was friendly and fast. Not a lot of vegetarian options on the menu, but they were happy to modify the tacos for us! :)
Came here for the first Saturday after they reopened since closing in 2020 and it was a great experience. While the outside doesn't have much curb appeal, the inside is tastefully decorated and intimate. The food and drinks were both very good. My friend got a torta and I got the tacos. I do wish they had queso as an option for a dip, but the salsa was good. I also didn't love that you had to pay for a refill of chips but if it keeps the price of the dips down then I'm all for it.
I'm so glad it's back in business. Pre covid was my favorite little chill spot in Columbus. Unfortunately they no longer serve the 32 Oz Sol cervezas.
So so so glad this place is back open!! Food was delicious, staff is awesome, music is amazing! Welcome back!!
A great place for a chill dinner that makes you feel in a different time. El Camino Inns environment, service and food is superb to say the least. The deals are great, it's not overly busy at dinner time and I honestly felt like I was in a movie. Also happy hour deals are great! 5/5
I was really impressed with this place. The bar tender was amazing. Drinks taste great and awesome prices for downtown. Tacos were really good. I like the old feel it’s perfect in today’s fast paced society. Awesome records playing in the background. My evening didn’t start off well with the lack of professionalism I experienced at Sidebar. This place really was a breath of fresh air after leaving such an awful place. My company and I spent 5 1/2 hours there without realizing it!!! And I swear we’re not drunks lol. It was that relaxing after a long week.
I have only been here for happy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fish tacos on Tuesday are incredible! Their happy hour drink prices are very affordable. Service is quick and friendly. The place is very small compared to most and I imagine they are packed in the later evenings. However, I usually go for happy hour around 5:00 pm and it has never been too busy.
Stopped here for a quick bite and drink prior to a concert at Southern Theatre. Fast service and quality food ( burrito; chips; homemade fresh salsa). Wide selection of classic rock music played on vinyl gives the place some fantastic character. No beers on draft and selection of what they do serve could be better.
Always a fun time! Great mid century modern vibe with a record player. The food tastes great and is fairly priced. The $4 Mac and cheese is a must have. The mixed drinks are great. Seating can be limited on busy nights.
Service was a little slow at first. They were understaffed. Food was excellent and the drinks were great. They play an eclectic mix of music. Tuesday is fish taco night and the micheladas are outstanding. Definitely a local hangout not much of the college crowd which was a good thing. I'm coming back here again
This spot. Is so awesome. The space reminds me of being in Miami in the 70s. Although I have never been to Miami in the 70s. I have play Grand theft Auto vice City so dot-dot... I really really really love their tacos they taste authentic. I always order the same drink there which is a very high quality mezcal and they always have it. They play the best vinyl from a record player which is very very very awesome. The bartender and waitstaff it's always a different person when I come in but it's like they somehow spiritually remember that they're supposed to be awesome anyway and they are they're f****** awesome.
Came here because the destination of choice seemed to be closed down, best happy accident of my life. The tacos were amazing, the drinks were cheap and strong, the ambiance was fantastic, the service was impeccable, and the best part? THE MAC AND CHEESE, I do not like Mac and cheese typically but dish mentioned here is beyond amazing, perfect ratio of cheese to noodle, perfect, the little bit of crust from the bowl, the diced jalapenos, and the meat. Oh my Lord come here.
Beautiful little bar with a chilled vibe and great food. Bar manager was very friendly, recommended some amazing local gin and gave us directions to the distillery where it was made. Also loved the vinyl selection being played.
El Camino Inn has some of the best margaritas in town and all of their food is great. I recommend splitting a pitcher with a friend or date, you'll get about 2-2.5 drinks apiece. A cozy date spot with great service and generally not as busy on the weekends as all the other places around it.
