Hot Chicken Takeover

I’ve been here a couple different time in the last year and every time I come there is always one bright spot and that’s Kevin Fisher. His attitude and professionalism is spot on. He just gets it done. If you’re ever in there and you want to have a great time ask for Kevin I promise you won’t be disappointed

Staff is always great / helpful... A few changes to note. Tea is no longer free with your meal. $1.50 so reasonable. The soda machine is $3. Touch screen to place your order. Be careful, there is a 3 piece wings and a 5 piece wings meal. You can refill your own drinks. They have french fries, spicy ketchup and spicy ranch. They have also added chicken tenders. Now back to your regularly scheduled review. I had a perfect chicken wing today... One of the few places I can get spicy food. Wings holy with mac and beans is my go-to. If you want it super spicy, ask for unholy, That's where the real spice is. There are tables set up inside and, when it is warm, tables set up outside. Every Tuesday the entire family comes so they can get their gluten-free chicken. I also really like the environment. The people seem to get along really well together and are kind to their customers. They have high chairs if you need them and they also just got these cute caution signs that look like bananas. They really compliment their banana pudding. The mac and cheese has changed yet again, very much for the better. I really enjoyed my mac and cheese, as well as my beans. They even have a Mac and cheese with nuggets dish. If you want a vegan option they have Nuggs, which is a plant-based alternative to chicken. I've never tried a nugg. They have a Coke machine now so you can have Coke products or sweet tea. The sweet tea is half the price of the coke.

I got the Ma’s Mac and the nuggets. Both were amazing! You can tell the mac n cheese was made with real cheese and the spice on the chicken was perfect! The staff was also amazing and super respectful. The only complaint that I had was that they didn’t have bleu cheese, only ranch. Other than that, no complaints!

Run, don’t walk on Tuesday nights to the locations with Gluten Free options. We stopped Clintonville and got the GF breasts, waffle fries cooked in a separate fryer and Ma’s slaw plus excessive amounts of ranch and hot ranch. It was the best meal in a while. Often being gf, you just eat at home to avoid problems but this was amazing! Thank you for doing a great job!

I've been enjoying HCT for a couple years now. Their updated (slightly expanded) menu made something already amazing even better. The food is phenomenal, and the service is exceptional. What makes eating at HCT more enjoyable is knowing that you're supporting second chance employees get back on their feet. I absolutely love HCT.

The food was quick, order easy, and very good. I ordered the hot chicken tenders and they were a reasonable level of hot, could still taste the chicken. I have other flavor preferences for that level of hot but have to give this its due. Kevin was there to assist in the ordering, was very courteous and helpful! I carried out but inside the establishment was clean and rustic, nice casual appeal.
