Review Mad Greek - Columbus

The ladies at the counter were so so helpful. I loved both dishes. Yes, I ordered two. The Olympus Shrimp pasta had such a light taste, I was thrilled that I ordered it. The Chicken Kabob, was delicious, those flavors all mixed together, I'd absolutely recommend.

Tasty, flavorful Greek fare out East. And one of my go-to spots for takeout. Love the variety of menu options. Easy online ordering, fast service, and consistently prepared dishes. I enjoy the Stuffed Mushrooms, Greek Fries and Fried Feta appetizers. And for the entree, the Lemon Sole Fish Platter. It’s delicious and an ample portion. The rice is always cooked well and is deliciously seasoned. Why it’s not a 5 for me… at times, when I walk in I have to initiate a hello and that I’m there to pick up. Otherwise, I think I’d be in a staring match with whoever is at the counter. Weird customer service strategy, but the food is good.

Fantastic place. I visited here years ago and the place still has the same quality that i remember. The portions are large, and the food is delicious. I overheard a group talking about how delicious the grouper soup was, so thats probably worth a shot.

The food is delicious! And everyone who works here is so nice. I get takeout at least once a week. The Greek salad is delicious. The veggies are crisp and fresh and they use mixed greens with Romaine instead of lame iceberg. I switch it up and get it with either chicken or falafel. The chicken is unbelievably tender and juicy. Just got this salad today. Just look how amazing.

Food very good, no one waits on you, you order at counter. They do deliver to table. A bit different for me. Saying that, all was good and plenty to eat with friendly workers.

The food is so fresh and delicious. Bursting with flavor! I was pleasantly surprised with the seasonings of everything. You must try the garlic sauce!... and the baklava cheesecake.

My food was delicious (Kefta Dinner)! It was my first time going (last week) and everything was hot and delicious!! Even got (pasta with white sauce) something for my son and it was delicious (yes I tasted it) I even had Grape Leaves as an appetizers, never had it and it was delicious!

I only barely went in the front door. I'm certain the gentleman behind the counter is the owner. His greeting was quite inviting. He made suggestion for me on my food that was spot on. Just guessing here, but I'm certain this is family owned and operated. Will definitely be back often

Delicious food, delivered to your table quickly, great service. The owner even came over to thank us personally for our patronage, and gave us a free slice is chocolate cake. My only complaint is how gruff and cold the worker at the register was (who took our order). He doesn't fit in with the rest of the staff, who were very warm and welcoming.

We found The Mad Greek by accident and I’m so glad we did! Everything is homemade, including the desserts and pastries. The Greek Salad was huge and really fresh. The grape leaves were so so good.

It has such good food with a vast menu and superb service.

We stopped here on a recommendation, and it was by far the best Greek food I’ve ever eaten! We ordered a couple appetizers and Gyro and 2 desserts. everything was absolutely delicious. I honestly don’t think he would be disappointed with anything on the menu. strongly, recommend!

Business Trip Lunch Pretty darn good to say the least. I had the #3 (gyro & house fries) with a pistachio cake. Meal #3- Gyro was really tasty and let me tell you, the their sauce had their own twist. 👌🏾 Pistachio Cake- Moist, fluffy, and not too sweet. Just the way I like it.

This is a family favorite that has been hit or miss lately. Today, they were on point! I ordered the mega chicken bowl. Chicken was plentiful and tender. The rice was good too! Back on my good list!

In town for business and stopped by for some Greek food. This restaurant makes me want to move here just to be able to eat here often. The food is delicious and the staff is so welcoming. Don’t leave until you have added the pistachio cake to your meal. It is divine!

This is my favorite Greek spot in Columbus!! The hummus is the best I’ve had, and the lentil soup is also great. Their dessert selection is another thing all in itself (I’d recommend their Lemon cake, but they’re all so good.) The people that work there are very kind, and the overall production of food is efficient and beautiful. Can’t wait to come again.

The space is no frills, the food is no fuss - but it's really good. Gyros, seasoned fries, crazy feta. Make sure you finish with their fabulous chocolate baklava.

The taste doesn't complement the cost. 20.00 for 2 gyros 1 fry, 1 soda and 1 water. My cajuan chicken gyro was dry and not very seasoned. The service was slow, she never brought my hot sauce the fries were limpy there was something in my water when it came out just poor food and mediocre service.

Serious Greek Food!. This restaurant is serious quality food that at first impression might seem like just another quick gyro place. However, it is anything but that. They have best of three worlds: quick order take-out, a comfortable and clean dining area, and a bar. The menu is extensive offering familiar Greek fare like gyros, salads, and the infamous hummus. But don't stop there. You will find true Greek specialties like marithes/fried smelts, mousaka/meat or veggie, Grecian fish and my favorite, haddock soup. The dish that most impresses me it the melitzanosalata - an eggplant salad that I thought would be like baba ghanoush, however was much more sophisticated. It's made of roasted eggplant and red pepper, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, walnuts, feta cheese and herbs. The walnuts are a surprise that really adds to the dish. As for the desserts, you can't miss them as they are displayed in a large case when you walk-in. Their baklava is kitchen-made, not the thawed stuff that other restaurants offer. There are cakes and pies as well. Some might say this restaurant is pricier, however, considering the quality of food and service, it is actually a bit under priced by my standards. As you can tell, I go here often. My usual is a falafal pita with spicy feta instead of hummus, and the fish soup.

The best appetizers ever! Amazing food, great service every time. We just keep going back! They never disappoint!

One of our favorite spots. Their food is wonderful, their staff friendly. Some of our favorites are the SAGANAKI OPA, AVGOLEMANO and MAD GREEK SUB. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Consistently Great. I have dined at the Mad Greek about 30 times over the years and the food has consistently been great. The lamb shanks are delicious and the mousaka is always tasty. However, the star of the menu in my estimation is the Calamari Greek Salad. There are not enough superlatives to describe this wonderful meal. My wife and two teenage sons love the food and we have tried a majority of the menu items and have yet to find one we wouldn't order again.

Mad Greek is amazing, its food is always great, I always try the dish of the day, they never miss the mark. Its a great place to take friends, and they have a full bar. You walk in to the dining room and completely forget what the building used to ne. The paintings of Greece are amazing and its family owned and run.
Aw
A little pricey but the food is WONDERFUL!!

Terrific. Stopped by for lunch while we were on vacation. I'm not going to pretend to be knowledgeable about what is or is not authentic Greek food in reference to the other reviews here. What I will say is that we both loved our food and it is what I think of when I want greek food. An enormous traditional gyro and several types of baklava to choose from.

Being from out of town, we had no prior knowledge of the Mad Greek, but it was an unexpected highlight of our vacation. The place was jam packed for lunch, but we no issues at all getting our food in a timely manner. Our server was very friendly and made a great recommendation with the Calamari appetizer, which was some of the best we have ever had.

Thanks for a great lunch and best of luck...

The Mad Greek is a bustling little Greek spot located in the outer limits known as Whitehall. As with most Greek restaurants (and contrary to My Big Fat Greek Wedding ), The Mad Greek features many options for vegetarian diners. Vegetarian appetizers incl

Save your money and avoid The Mad Greek like the plague. The calamari we ate on the way home was tasty, but the rest of our $150 (plus $30 tip) takeout order was a hot freezer burned mess. And no seasoning that I could discern. Horrible packaging meant a soup lid busted and soaked everything in the bag. We ordered 2 three dip samplers and they put them all in the same non-divided white styrofoam box that meant that they all mixed together into one gloopy mess. All of the vegetables were freezer burned. The lamb and kofta and the chicken in the mixed grill were overcooked to the point of inedibility. The souvlaki was undercooked and overcooked (it varied depending on which chunk you got). The fish also tasted like it came from a freezer and was so overcooked that even with a fork and knife, I couldn’t cut
