Mad City Coffee

My father came home with this “egg and bacon sandwich”. This is truly shocking, as you can see the egg is thick, phony looking, and clearly microwaved. The texture was also the consistency of a hockey puck. Very shocked and disappointed by this. We were excited to support a sweet black owned business, but this sandwich is unacceptable, and unfortunately we won’t be back.

Stopped by while in Columbia. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Probably one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had in awhile. Lots of flavor options, including sugar free. Much better than that chain coffee shops! Also, had some of the most delicious looking muffins I’ve ever seen- definitely going to be my main breakfast spot while in town.

First, I NEVER make reviews, but this needs to be talked about. Came for breakfast and a girl was checking me out when the other male coworker began to cat-call me behind the counter. The girl asked if I wanted anything else, and the man continued to cat-call me stating, "Whatever you want take the whole store". The female staff had ignored the comments that were made but if I were in her position, I wouldn’t have known what to say or do either. I shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable going into a public place and ordering a coffee. Food was delicious but I wouldn’t consider that adequate service. Please, DO BETTER!!!

Awesome coffee! It was hard to make a choice with all the great options. They also have several really good loose leaf teas. The food options are good as well, some energy bars I hadnt seen before, bagels, sandwiches and salads, as well as muffins and pastries. The people are very knowledgeable and friendly, as well as efficient. The exterior is a bit underwhelming but inside it has a lot of character and a great atmosphere. I'm planning my next visit.
