Hickory Hills Bbq

One of the better BBQ restaurants in town. The waitress was friendly and patient with us. The pulled pork tasted great. The smoked turkey was a lot better than we were expecting it to be. We ended up choosing Como Smoke and Fire to cater to about 125 people. The owner personally came out to deliver our food. The attendees enjoyed the food as the catering trays were all empty during cleanup.

Driving through Columbia and stopped in- we ordered online when we were 20 minutes out. Ordered the brisket(moist), chicken egg rolls, 1/2 order of pork pulled nachos and gooey butter cake(more like a cake-not gooey). Cost aprx $42 which we felt was reasonable. All portions large. Food was ready before promised time. The location is 3 miles off Highway 70. Our only complaint is that the gas station attached is not RV friendly if towing a vehicle. Which has nothing to do with the food. You can circle the restaurant in a large vehicle. But it was tricky to get gas and food at same time.

Passing through Columbia and decided to stop in and try Como. Our meal was great! The fried pickles are a must try. The turkey and brisket were perfectly cooked. Just the right amount of smoke and very juicy. For sides we had the beans, Mac and cheese and creamy coleslaw. I'm not a coleslaw fan, but I would definitely order it again. Service was quick and very friendly. Overall, Great experience.

As a person who has grown up in a culturally mixed and rich cuisine including grills and BBQ culture, I have never had such a delicious food. I had doubts about having a burger but they serve an amazing patty (tasty, enough spicy and zesty). Grilled vegetables are incredible! They offer creamy and vinegar slaw which makes you go there again just for it! My friend tried beef burnt ends… A-mazing!! Those are delectable meat candies, so unreal! This is place is a must stop restaurant if you are around! Do not miss it!
