Really liked this place. Pool is a must for any of you players, cute ones also. Tables are cheap, distance is nice on tables, food is decent for this spot, atmosphere is really a plus with our group, Some of the waitresses were unwilling to help on minor things. I waited for 15 minutes when I walked in just for some kind of acknowledgement. I had to go and get someone to listen so I could get tables, 1 so we could sit down and 2 so we could play pool. Regulars are pretty cordial. Overall I give it thumbs up. I go and shoot pool there sometimes after work. I like this establishment.

My husband and I were traveling from Nebraska back to North Carolina and stopped into Truman’s. Unfortunately COVID has limited their socializing options. What I was most disappointed with was the service and food we ordered, which needs to be awesome considering their other limitations. We informed the waitress that this was our first time there and we did most of the asking of questions trying to figure out what they were known for and any originality. We didn’t see her much and the chicken nachos I ordered was hands down the worst I have had. The chicken had no seasoning, the nacho sauce was even bland and seemed out of a can or a pump action. My husband ordered a Nadapattymelt and it was less than desirable but my husband was hungry so he ate it, but the waffle fries were good. The drinks were ok but not worth the price we paid for our experience. This was just our experience hope anyone else’s is better

I tried to cash in on the 50¢ wing deal on Wednesday. Ordered online, paid, they said 20 minutes. I figured I would spot them 10 minutes. It was an hour before I got my wings. I am giving them 3 stars because the girls we hustling and there is a CoViD factor you have to put in. I will come back a different time and give them another shot. Depending on how that goes, we will go up or down. The place is clean enough. It’s a sports bar. They had a great playlist playing. I got to listen to a lot of music while waiting. I ordered at 11:30, I got my wings at 12:33. This for sure is a first world problem, but I made a plan based upon the timeframe they gave me because I have a job with timelines and goals. I did not appreciate the wait. To their saving grace, the wings are delicious.

Rude bar tender, dirty tables, low quality food. Waited 30 minutes for a table, only to be greeted by a waitress with no manners. Instead of asking what we wanted to drink, she disappeared for 10 minutes. I had already gone to the bar and dealt with the rude bar tender to finally get a drink by the time she returned. The genious asked what we wanted to drink even though our drinks were already there. We ordered our food, and 30 minutes later she showed up with only one of our orders because she said she did not hear the second one. When we brought this to her attention she shrugged and walked away. I regularly tell everyone I know not to eat at Trumans. The only thing worse than the food is the staff. As for the management, look how they reply to the negative reviews like a scorned woman. Unprofessional clowns handling your food.
Reply to management: No problem, I would come back to dine & dash, but the food isn't worth it even if it were free.

The only redeeming factor of this bar is the liquor. They had a phenomenal peach cider from ciderboys and the beer came in frozen mugs. They must have been priced out of this world though.
Calling the food mediocre would be generous. The "grilled" chicken was boiled. The nachos were covered in what tasted like Tostidos dip and not melted shredded cheese. The fries/tots were plentiful, but cold. The wings weren't bad, just a tad plain.
The waitress, bless her heart, was new and did not know the menu, handheld ticketing system, or what a double well was. She was truly trying, but she was not going to last long. I'm guessing the other girls knew as they thought about helping but just walked away in the end.
Overall, this place is only worth remembering to avoid it.

Service was super slow, took forever to be waited on and our waitress was the worse.
Our group was over ten people so we were set in two different sections, which is fine and understandable with covid guidelines. When our table finally got to order drinks , we still had no menu , dinnerware etc. Took another 15 minutes to get drinks. We had to remind her of the other table. My steak was cold and had to be sent back.We arrived at this place around 11:30, didn't leave till 3:30. On the up note the fried mushrooms were amazing and they give you plenty to eat when you get it.
