Review Tony's Pizza Palace - Columbia

Small Mom & Pop style restaurant. Food and staff were great. The gyro was really good.

One bite and you will love it! Perfect combination of seasonings. The crust tastes so authentic. They lovvvve to load it with cheese! I started with a salad topped with their gyro meat. The presentation was wonderful. The gyro meat and feta cheese were both full of flavor. It just goes on and on. I’ll definitely be back

Normally this place is the best... that has changed. Tonight we ordered at work. Was told it would be 45 mins. Over two hours now and the food still has not arrived. I have called the store twice and they said the driver was on his way, he has been on his way for an hour and fifteen minutes now. Guaranteed the food, especially the fries, will be cold. Tony's is usually better than this but that last 3 times I have ordered in the past 4 months has been awful. Please fix this.

Best gyro in town, sliced off the rotisserie - the soft pita was loaded & overfilling with tender meat. Pizza is great, and the Greek salad with chicken was filling and delicious.

The employee on the phone was rude, the pizza took an hour and a half to get here, and the pizza was cold and gross. It was bad enough to have me leave a review for the first time in my life

They have the best, pizza, gyro and salads. I loves Tony's. If you haven't been here, your crazy. You have to eat here.

Amazing Gyros. Every looks good in this little restaurant. It reminds me of a Chicago neighborhoods ma and pa restaurant. I love it.

We just love this place. Gyros are fab. Pizza is so cheesy and great. Live that they cut it into little squares. People are so nice! I tell everyone to go there!!!

food was good waitress sucked ! been going there for over 30 years and never had service like we did on 11/10/17. there was only one other couple in there but us. order large pizza an a gyro. got the pizza and then had to ask twice for the sandwich, she kept blaming the kitchen help! found out she never turned it in.

We ordered a large House special without mushrooms it was the best pizza we have had in along time. Bree the waitress was super nice loved her. Definitely will go back.

By far the best gyro's in Columbia and as for the pizza it's Greek pizza like any, but I personally think its better than most.

Best pizza in Columbia. The meat lover is my favorite. The country music is similar but adds veggies. They can be a bit greasy but I like it.

Been going here since I was 23 at least .. knew the family and they always had to put up with a pretty roudy crowd some weekend nights.

I myself have been going to Tony's since I was 19 years old and I am now retired. Love the people who work there and we love the food! We have transferred around the country from Columbia to Florida to Illinois and am now back in Missouri – every time we came back to Missouri to visit, we made sure we went by Tony's and got our "fix"! In fact, we were there last night – made a two hour trip just to eat there and enjoy the company of our friends! Love the pizzas – love the gyros- love it.

I had the souvlaki delivered to the frat house about 5 times a week my freshman year and gained like 40 pounds. bounced alot of checks too lol. great food.. i wonder if that delivery guy is still there.

The food is great, but the customer service needs major help. The people that I came in contact with behaved like it was a big issue to do their jobs. No bueno!

Definitely need to realize they are in 2016. Website to have it delivered was priced wrong but a gentleman was nice enough to call right away to confirm and ask questions about my order. I did not have to sign a credit card receipt which scared me a little since I told him to add a certain amount for tip. Gyro portion for price was unacceptable for $7 and they didn't give me anything but meat when I only said no tomatoes. Gentleman who called after my order is the only reason I respect this business. He was so nice and wanted to verify the order. Total was almost $17 and looked like a $8 order. Their tzatiki is watery and gross

Food is good but.... Service is terrible. One waitress for the whole restaurant for Saturday dinner is downright stupid. Be sure to find a comfortable booth because it will be your new home away from home. Pizza rocked though

Good Food but service????. The food here is really good, but the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. We have made allowances for this but over our last couple of visits we have encountered such poor service we will no longer patronize this restaurant. We come in on Friday afternoons at lunch and our last visit we encountered such poor service we almost did not return. On that visit there was one empty booth which the waitress completely ignored, even though I stood beside it and she walked past several times as my partner went to the counter. It took forever for her to clean. On that visit they were busy, so why did it take someone to yell in the back room for another person to watch the register? Why were they not positioned there beforehand with strict instructions not to move? Then while we ate we never once were asked for refills or how we were doing, although the waitress did find the time to chat with friends who hugged her during this busy time. Why was she not focused on her job rather than idle chit chat?<br/>This Friday we called in our order and mistakenly asked for pick up. When we came in we decided to eat in since they were not busy. The same waitress asked if we had called in our order since we were there often and we said we had. A minute later I went to the counter and asked whether they had it for here or to go. She was not sure so hollered in the back and they swore it was for here. We waited awhile more and the waitress then came over and asked what we had ordered. She then realized they had them bagged to go and they had been sitting on the counter since before we came in. The kitchen then proceeded to unbag our meal and she brought it out. The fries were ice cold and we did not even bother trying the gyros. We sent it back and after looking at each other decided we would never return. This was the last straw. We walked out, making sure the door did not hit our backsides on our exit!

I have never tried the pizza because the gyro's are by far the best in Columbia (I have had them all). They should consider a name change.

Excellent. From the salads and gyros to the pizzas. This place is excellent all around. Might not be much on looks, but super mega on taste.

Fantastic! Gyro was huge and tasty. Loved the pizza. Wish I was local so I could eat here more often. I rate it 8.5

Back in time, in a bad way. Wow, this place had baaaad pizza. Had a Italian & pepperoni pizza. Way overpriced. 2 sodas, French fries & a med. Pizza= 18.00. The flavor was blah, blah, blah. Service was good. Decor was straight from the 60's. Dark paneling throughout, with worn, ripped carpet. Smelled like a moldy basement. Went to use the bathroom & thought better of it after seeing how dirty it appeared. Stay away from this dump!

Great Pizza!. Tony's Pizza Palace is family owned and has been around since the sixties. They make a great pie and have excellent Greek gyros, salads and great olives. The pizza is distinctive, unlike many of the national chains.

Been eating at Tony's since 1967, when they were on Broadway. Great place. The traditions have been handed down through the family over the years. The only pizza that I will eat in this town.

Located near the intersection of 5th and Walnut, Tony’s is fairly obscure when compared to many of the other downtown restaurants.
