My doctors appointment at Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital was beautiful and terrific. The receptionists were blissful and a true blessing. All of the doctors and nurses was on top of the ๐ ๐ and my nurse Mrs. Janice B. was the greatest with my ultrasound and Paracentesis procedure and took out 9350 liters of fluids out and off my abdomen/stomach area and I'm truly blessed. Spent over 5 hours in the ER, at least 4 of which was in the waiting room before being tucked away in a triage room and pretty much forgotten. I informed the staff that I tested negative less than 48 hours ago for COVID just to retake the test any way. The test came back negative. They never did any other tests or exams just said it was an upper respiratory infection and prescribed me 3 over the counter medications that did not treat anything! I don't think I would be so disappointed if I hadn't experienced such great care here in the past AND used to be employed at the facility as a PST.

My husband was having severe pain in the middle of his chest every time he swallowed. The nurse helpline to him to go to the emergency room. I took him here. They checked his vital signs. When the doctor came in he told him to open his mouth. He said your throat is a little red, I think you have strep throat. Tested him for strep. It was negative. They sprayed his throat and dismissed him. The discharge instructions were about a sore throat. HIS THROAT did NOT hurt! He was having CHEST PAINS, a fact they completely ignored! Luckily, I insisted that we follow up with his primary care physician. They immediately did an EKG- it was abnormal-bundle branch blockages. According to the MAYO Clinic this can be caused by many different things: heart attack, blood clot, etc! I am no doctor, but if someone says they are having chest pains the first thing I would do is an EKG, not a strep test. Iโm very disappointed in the care my husband received here, we wonโt go back.
I wish this system would allow me to give zero stars, they donโt deserve even one!

Would give 0 stars if I could!!! Waited 4 hours to never be seen in the ER. My son had 105 fever when we got there. 103.2 fever after Tylenol and they still never called us back with an almost empty waiting room. Three people who were very clearly not emergent who got there after us were called back first. Hate this hospital, they clearly do not care. Witnessed them being rude to an elderly woman in distress and just absolutely horrible. Not to mention in august when I was in a bad car wreck and brought to them by ambulance face cover in blood, still sat in the waiting room for 2 hours. No one knew if I had a concussion, brain bleed, or anything. This ER should be shut down!

I had an awful experience at Parkridge when I recently went there having irregular heartbeats and very high blood pressure. I waited almost 5 hours and never saw a doctor. A nurse was very rude to me because my stupid mask wasnโt completely covering my face as I was having trouble breathing. All she seemed to care about was my mask and not that I could have a stroke from my extremely elevated blood pressure. I was also sitting far away from anyone. What has happened to the healthcare in our city? I certainly didnโt receive emergency care. I left hospital after receiving no care and called my cardiologist the next day. Worse excuse for a hospital!!!!!

Just had surgery here today and I NEED to brag on my team. My surgical team were all very informative and made me feel nice and relaxed before my back surgery. My daytime nurse was Alisha and my daytime tech was Britt. For night time, I have Tanisha as my nurse and Aretha as my tech. BOTH duos have been wonderfully attentive and not once have they made me feel like a bother! We've been able to make each other laugh and they've made this recovery period as enjoyable as possible. The cafeteria staff were also great; calling to ask for my order when I was too dazed to remember to call myself and being helpful with my options! It was always brought up to my room quickly, too. I could go on and on, but simply put: The employees here are exceptional and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience! God bless the kind people who have taken such great care of me!

If I could give less than a star I would! The staff here is rude and sympathy left the building as soon as their willingness to help people in need did! I've been in vet clinics that take better care of wounded animals better than the doctors do here in this circus tent of a hospital. My wife has cracked hardware (metal plate) in her back from a fall at work and these people wanna keep doing MRI's and CT Scans to see something that won't heal on its own! We are working class people that pay our taxes and expect a hospital to treat patients with a hell of a lot more dignity than we recieved from s**thole!

Absolute nightmare! Totaled my car, when paramedics arrived they never even spoke to me, much less put me in a neck brace. So I drove back home to be seen at the ER in my area (45 minute drive) still never put me in a neck brace. The cherry on top was the nurse who came in, yelled at me for being up and walking around with my husband sitting next to me, because I shouldn't be moving....I slept with my head on my husband's shoulder while I waited for transport that came 4+ hours later to take me to Richland and all I got was a 17,000$ bill from Prisma and a 2000$ ambulance bill. I am STILL dealing with short term memory issues from that car accident that no one at Prisma could "explain" to me.....
The responding paramedics, the ER I went to and the hospital I was transported to are all owned by Prisma....total lack of care at both.
