Bourbon Street Grill

I guess I didn't expect much, but compared to the other similar restaurants in the mall, this one wins. The food tastes better than I honestly expected, I am embarrassed to admit. The guy working was slightly rude but the lady working was incredibly sweet. Went there on a whim, one of my new favorite places in the mall. Price is worth it.

I have lived in Columbia all my life and as far as Columbia, S.C. goes this is the best Chinese food in the city and surrounding areas not even joking. Lemon and bourbon chicken done right. I have been here many times over the years and I have not been disappointed yet. I would recommend to all my friends and family. I travel to eat here because I'm from NE Columbia but this place is that good.

The cashier dude is completely rude. I asked for a side of corn at the register. He made it seem like it was so inconveniet and got loud with me. Asked me why I didn't order corn in the line. Dude my kid literally just said can I have corn so I asked you. I explained this to him and he continued verbally attacking me about upsetting customers in line behind me. The corn is already cooked and on the display. You don't have to cook it. Just lost a long time customer permanently. This is the 2nd time this guy has gone off on me. The first time was when I ordered a tea and he failed to mention it was lemon flavored.....of course that was a scene as well. I am done with these rude people.

I was really looking forward to eating here. I tried a sample of their orange chicken as I walked by and was hooked. I got in line and ordered more of their great food when the clerk asked me if I’d like to by an egg roll for an extra $1. I said no Thankyou and kept it moving. About that time another young man about 10 years old got in line and ordered his food but when he was asked about the additional $1.00 egg roll the employee willfully “forgot to mention” the extra price. So I waited a few moments before brining it up to the employee. And so, the immediate back track began. He ended coming clean which is good, but I’m angry that they run that kind of shady business targeting little kids in the mall. It’s just sad. Oh, and by the way, their chicken fried rice is soggy. Sorry. Sincerely, a ticked off and hangry first/last time customer.
