The food and service was great! Had to wait about 30 to 45 minutes to be seated. They don't take reservations. It was also the the weekend before Valentines so they may have been a factor too

Came out to honor my niece which would have been her 23rd bday.The staff was awesome all the way up.Food was so good the sauces especially the hotsauce I would love it in a bottle. The peach š daiquiri was delicious. We all will be back.

The food here was delicious. I got the steak and chicken(pictured) dinner and my boyfriend got the chicken and shrimp early bird special. The portion size are much smaller for the early bird so if your very hungry I would not get it. I did prefer the chicken over the steak but all of it was delicious. The chef was very kind and funny and waitress attentive. Will certainly return.

Food is always really good. I love the ginger dressing and pink sauce! My husband actually buys the ginger dressing for salads at home.
I typically get the filet mignon and shrimp. The filet will melt in your mouth and the shrimp are always perfectly cooked.
We like sitting next to the bar. Sometimes it gets smoky in front of the teppanyaki grill when cleaning due to ventilation.
They do not accept reservations which makes it difficult to wait when you have a hungry child.
Lunch is not very busy most days, but dinner and weekends there is usually a wait.

I didn't take any pictures this time but the service was excellent. So you get to enjoy watching your chef cook and entertain you with his cooking tricks in the center of your table. Its a very nice place for the family or about group 8. And yes they do serve drinks.

Side note: Make sure you go to the bathroom before you check in. My son went while we were waiting and they wouldn't seat us until he came back. š¤·āāļøš

The food here use to be amazing. Today was horrible, 1st we had to tell the chef there was egg shell in the egg. Instead of scrapping that and getting a new one he "picked it out" not getting all of it, the rice was lumpy and mushy while the steak was crispy on the outside and not cooked much on the inside. Sadly the salad and vegetables were the best part. We won't be back.

Itās unfortunate that I donāt have the option to give 0 stars because the service was terrible. Never have I EVER had a dining experience that ended with the manager and staff members of an establishment yelling, cursing, and being aggressive with customers. Yet, thatās what my friends and I experienced while trying to celebrate my friends birthday. I found their behavior absolutely unprofessional. Thereās no way this place will be receiving my business again. I can find mediocre food and dirty utensils elsewhere.

The restaurant itself I think needs some updating decor wise. Plus nicer tableware and plates. The wait staff and chef were friendly though. I enjoyed the show and the food was pretty good. I wouldnāt say itās the best steak house Iāve been too but it was still a good night. My only complaint was the slowness of our drinks. My husband ordered a second beer and our food was boxed and we paid for our meals and drinks before he even got his second beer, so he had to try and drink it real fast before we left.

We made reservations. They didn't seat us for 30 minutes. Sat people ahead of us that did Not have reservations! Then it took them an hour and a half to even get a salad to us, they messed our order up, took us two hours to get our meal and they were rude. Told us if we did not like their policies we could go across the street and eat 3 times. Also the waitress told us the tip wasn't included although it was at a total of almost $10 just for our bill. She played dumb( or actually was) when I pointed it out to her. Also she tried to charge us for an extra glass of wine. Used to be a good place to eat and owner used to care about his customers but he doesn't care anymore! That was so obvious when he told us 3 times if we didn't like it to go eat somewhere else! Definitely would not recommend!

Very insulted today by the chef charlie...he,was racist and very rude..we were 8 Indians with a little girl and he never even smiled..I first thought that he must had a bad day and he did not do any tricks..gave us little food, very little vegetables, did not say a word and closed in a minute. No choo choo train, no egg fun or never threw shrimp...We paid 139 and he walked away...we then saw him entertaining the next table very well, smiling, and doing all tricks. He even gave them lot of food and extras..the manager noticed it all and spoke to him bit that's it..we were not compensated and he did not apologize. .

To the owner of Sumo, I have never rated a business before, but I feel compelled from my experience tonight. Weāve been to your restaurant several times before, the food was always good, HOWEVER, tonight left a bad taste in my mouth, and it was not because of the foodā¦ it was due to your management. We witnessed a grown woman (30-40 years old) who seemed to be one of your managers verbally attack a young female waitress who looked like she was 15-16 years old. Your manager was screaming, cursing and very verbally abusive to this young lady. It was all I could do to not intervene!!! This poor girl was in tears while the manager called her names like āstupidā and said the āFā word many times to this girl. We were in shock!! Ian the pickiest eater ever and my food was absolute perfection. Nothing was under or over cooked. I was able to eat my food without any sauces, dressing or toppings it was delicious. I will be back! Hands down five times better than Miyabis and this is my tenth visit.

Yesterday was the first time my boyfriend and I ate at this establishment. I must say we were seated immediately and the place was packed! The atmosphere and food was delicious. Sometimes the waiter wouldn't make eye contact when I needed more sauce. However, he was still very pleasant. We wasn't rushed to leave and overall enjoyed the experience. ļæ½

The food was good. The chef friendly. The girl that took our order ...Grabbed our dishes too early and threw our bills and desert at us and corrected my friend with the correct pronunciation of tempura got on our nerves enough not to come back. We felt rushed and like we couldn't relax for a moment after we ate.

This was the worst experience of my life. I got up from my table to light the candles on a friendās cupcakes for her birthday for not even 5 minutes. I came back to at least half a plate of food being thrown away. All the waitress said was that she would push the plates to the side not throw them away to make room for the cupcakes. The manager, Hannah Holbrook, was VERY rude. Wanting me to pay for something I did not consume. She cursed out the entire dinner party & threw a receipt at me. When asked to view the footage to back up my story no one wanted to cooperate. If I could give this place a NEGATIVE rating I would! I WOULD NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN.
