Review Miyo's On Forest - Columbia

Today we celebrated my daughter's graduation luncheon. The five star chefs prepared fresh and delicious foods, and our guests loved the venue and could not stop raving about the taste and quality of the dishes. We received numerous positive compliments and texts from our guests after the event letting us know how much they enjoyed everything. It's evident Miyos infuses fresh ingredients with garden fresh hand cut vegetables, therefore, you will not find this quality and level of quality customer service elsewhere in the area. When it came time to plan the menu, Michelle recommended several dishes and asked me to trust her which turned out to be the best decision for me. When you decide to plan your next event with Michelle, she communicates with you before, during, and after your event while keeping you posted about the meal and time for my guests to arrive. We had enough food for our guests to get second servings and take leftovers home. Be sure to get the rock shrimp appetizer. Overall, I could not have been more elated and pleased with my decision to use Miyos for my daughter's graduation luncheon. Of all the places that contacted me about their venue and food, no one communicated to the level of Michelle and provided 5 star customer service. During our celebration, Michelle and her husband were accommodating and didn't hover over us. Thank you to the chefs and Michelle, for making this one of the most amazing celebratory days for our family.

Everything I ate here was tasty! Place is clean and service is phenomenal! Leo waited on us during our visit, he is so professional and polite. I had the Green Dragon roll. It had avocado, cream cheese and shrimp. Very good! I would definitely come back here and recommend this place to eat your next sushi and ask for Leo for your waiter.

I have been a customer of Miyo’s for many years and the food is consistently delicious. Excellent service from the staff, the restaurant is always spotless and Michelle always makes us feel so welcome. The catering menu is incredible. You will not be disappointed!!!

I came for lunch and got a sushi combo/ special. I must say the cuts and quality of fish were truly great! Thoroughly enjoyed it, and have come back again since!

Stopped by Miyo’s on Forest for a bite to eat. They are open on July 4th! Jenny was my server today. Service was excellent. Sushi is fresh. Can’t wait to return. :)

Worst Service Ever! We ordered for a birthday lunch as we usually order from here weekly to go. After receiving our order and I had already started eating the food I noticed something unusual in my food. Come to find out it was a bug, a part of a roach in my garlic green beans. We called the restaurant and complained and the only way I could get my money back is if I brought the meal that only had the roach in it back. Well the other people in my group ordered green beans, etc too and was not going to eat their food either now. So here we wasted all this money and I was only able to get one meal refunded back. The guy at the front took the meal and the roach and said he was going to check the other food in the back for the rest of the roach knowing this was hours later and the rest of the roach was probably already eaten. He also mentioned he remembers changing the rice that morning so it probably wasn’t in the rice. Such a waste of money, not good service and no apologies.

i cant eat unless my food has been chewed up by someone else and fed to me out of their hands. normally this fine because i am 7 and half years old, but my mom wasnt there and my dad refuses to cooperate. i am lucky server was Kenny who fed me food out of hands like pig at a slop. i ate a LOT and kenny chewed every bit of it up first. RECOMMEND : KENNY

We have started a tradition of ordering takeout sushi every Sunday after church and we are always very pleased with our experience. There is a young man named Matthew who takes care of us and has the food out as soon as we arrive and makes sure we get all of the sauces and anything else we need. Very good establishment, would highly recommend!

Roy Smith. Sushi and Sashimi did not taste fresh. Tuna had been frozen. Management did not offer to reconcile bill. Will not be back. If you appreciate good sushi and sashimi this is NOT the place to go

Very disappointed. Haven't been recently and was so looking forward to it. Spring Rolls were dripping oil, entree was not the quality I have come to expect from Miyo's and seasoning was seasoning was bland.

We took take out and they messed the order. Asked to make the phat thai spicy they didn't make it. The fish sauce was different from the other locations. The quality of chicken was poor compared to the other locations. The one sumter street is really good. This location sucks.

Good experience. Was passing through town, and found this place on the recommendation of a colleague. Good service, pleasant modern atmosphere; tasty, pan-Asian food.

Had the sweet and sour chicken with steamed chicken and white rice. It was ok, not the best I ever had.

Better than M Vista. I like the food here at Miyo's on Forest. They have some great sushi combination meals. I think the Sushi tastes fresh and better than my latest visit to Takosushi. If you are in the area, it's convenient.

Good Sushi Options. Had good service when I went here for dinner. Not the best sushi in town but a good option for the Forest Acres area. Worth a visit, as is any Miyo's location.

Miyos on forest is by far the best miyos in town. Food is always excellent and the service is great. The others don't compare.

Horrible food at Sandhill. Noisey atmosphere. Service was not so great and the food was bland. Sushi didn't taste fresh. I am friend of the woman who was treated so badly and agree service is terrible...now I know why since the owner has such a horrible attitude. Happy to take my business to restaurants that treat people better!

DO NOT EAT HERE - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Emailed to me from my mother:<br/><br/>I want to share with all of you our horrible experience at the new Miyo's restaurant in Sandhill today (Mother's Day). I was there with my daughter, Jessica, who has a lot of allergies. The OWNER of the restaurant was called over so that Jessica could ask her what the ingredients were of the sauces to determine which one she could eat. The OWNER told her the ingredients very hurriedly and then said, "You should not eat out in public if you have so many allergies. You should eat at home." She was extremely rude and we were shocked!! The waiter apologized for the owner's behavior and said that she acts like this often.<br/> <br/>After we ate dinner (which wasn't really very good anyway), I calmly walked up to the Owner and said to her, "You were extremely rude to my daughter, which was not necessary." The Owner ignored my comment all together and kept writing. I said, "I see you don't seem to even care that you were rude?" She then said basically that no she didn't care. I then said that I will never be back again. At that point, the Owner looked at me and said, "Good, I don't want you to come back to my restaurant." <br/> <br/>I was appalled. Jessica, my mother and I then started to walk out of the restaurant. The Owner purposely ran to the door to open it and told us not to come back and started yelling at us and followed us to the car even though we said we were done talking with her and didn't want to talk with her any more. She continued to make a scene yelling at us until we got in the car.

Very Good.. Consistent, fresh, creative oriental cuisine. Now that they've added sushi, it's even better. Service is always solid, fast and efficient. Their food is always of very high quality... light, no msg, and fairly priced.

Miyo’s makes the MOST AMAZING roll–> The Hawaiian roll: Tempura shrimp, coconut, mango avocado, and white cream sauce!! DELISH!
