Absolutely always worth stopping at such a good burger !! The onion rings are amazing. Can’t even begin to tell you how much you will enjoy this food it’s like no other!! It’s always right when you order! Definitely must try it!

The BBQ place I wanted to go to was closed today so I went to Maurice's. I thought it was just ok. The building had a great sense of ambience and the staff was very friendly, but the food was more of the chain store quality as opposed to "real" BBQ. I had the 3 meat platter with brisket, pulled chicken, and pulled pork. The brisket was good, as was the chicken, but the pork was not that great. It was a little dry and had an odd flavor. They served them all with mustard BBQ sauce which surprised me. I would have preferred to add my own sauce.
For the sides I chose mac and cheese as well as potato salad. The noodles in the mac and cheese were soggy and there was very little cheese flavor. The potato salad was dry, but had a good flavor. I had hoped for a more authentic experience and this was not it. The dining areas were clean as were the bathrooms. I probably won't be back.
My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible

Service was very good, but the food was terrible. Chicken overcooked, dry and shriveled, mac n cheese and okra had a strange unappealing underlying flavor, and cole slaw had too much black pepper. Very disappointed. Waste of almost $12.

Nice atmosphere, very unique. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and was sanitized.

Good , clean place . Really like Maurices restaurants around Columbia but at this one the coleslaw is terrible. Don't get it ... other than that really good.

The food was good, though the rolls seemed a bit stale. Maybe they just got a little too warm in the kitchen. We called in an order for the family pack and it was ready when we got there. Great price for the meal.

They really need to lower their prices. I grew up on Piggy Park BBQ but greed has taken the meaning of BBQ to a new level. I only go twice a year now.
