Review Union Station Grill - Columbia

Stopped here on a Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. Ordered items off the happy hour menu and yum! Also couldn’t beat the price and loved the atmosphere. Great place and will definitely be back.

A pleasant lunch experience for out of towners. Shannon made us excellent cocktails, full of flavor and not overpowering. Menu selections were familiar but with their person touch. We very much enjoyed the outside seating area on a breezy afternoon. Great service too!

Amazing food, drinks and service. The bartender today was super attentive and chill. He definitely loves his job. I wish I got his name to give him a shoutout!

We stopped on our way to my sons game, called ahead to make sure the ravens game was on. They saved us a table by the tvs, our server knew we were rushing, and she was attentive, awesome, got us boxes, bag, lids, sauces, to leave as soon as we got our food. I wish I remembered her name, but she was awesome. I’ll remember her face, and will def be back! Super cool place!

I was in town for my friend birthday and we stop there for Lunch last Monday. Everything was very good we both had fish and chips. The fish was very crispy and delicious. This is not a complaint but there was only 1 pieces of fish on are plate. I don’t need a plate full of fries. I don’t mend paying more two get two pieces of fish. This is supposed to be a large platter.

Love the rustic atmosphere of this place. Hard wood floors, cool brick walls, fun wait staff, great food and drinks. The fried pickles and Philly cheesteak egg rolls were so good! The salads were a huge portion and fresh.

We really enjoyed the food here, we were immediately recognized at the hostess station and the bartender seated us right away, we decided for an outside table, our waitress was very attentive. Thank you for the great food and the great service, we will be back!

Would be 5 stars but they ran out of the steak special by 7pm. But, the burgers and fries were excellent, especially the beer battered fries. Beer selection was ok, would like some local beers added. Got the Apple blossom for dessert and it was awesome, big enough for 4 to share.

This was the only restaurant anywhere near us that was still serving food. Our expectations were low. However, we were very pleasantly surprised! Everything from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere to the service was wonderful! We liked it so much we went for breakfast the next morning to another restaurant owned by the same people. We will definitely coming back!!

Great Place to stop by and eat something good. Me and my mom were going out of town and decided to eat here after walking the turkey hill trail. I got a plain old bacon cheeseburger and she got the maryland ohio burger and the food was delicious. definitely recommend eating here

Really nice staff with lovely interior and spacious outdoor seating. A gem of a place as the food was super hot, delicious, and comforting. Half & Half wings and a burger. Lots of great drink options as well.

I had lunch there today for the first time. The Southwest salad was really good. The bartender/server was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back.

As a seasoned rider with 74 years of adventures under my belt, I've sampled countless pulled pork barbecues across the country, but none compare to what I experienced here. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of smoky goodness, and the warm ambiance instantly made me feel at home. However, what truly made this visit exceptional was our waitress, Vivian. Her energy and attentiveness were truly remarkable. She welcomed me with a bright smile and genuine enthusiasm, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience. Vivian's passion for the food they serve was evident as she shared her recommendations and made sure I had everything I needed. Positives: Best seafood bisque around....extremely tasty every time I've ordered it. I also had a breaded fish sandwich special that was very enjoyable. It was a surprisingly large portion: 2 large pieces. I ended up removing one piece from the sandwich, cutting the other one in half, and just eating that on the bun, then ate the other piece of fish by itself. Negatives: Annoyingly slow service with no acknowledgement that it's taking so long. (Note: We arrived around 1:20 for lunch, by no means lunch hour rush...the place was almost empty.) This has been our experience whether we're there for lunch or dinner. We ordered an appetizer during our lunch visit. Our lunch selections arrived by someone other than our server, but no appetizer. Server nowhere in sight. About 10 minutes later, she arrives to tell us the cook burned our appetizer (crab fries) and was re-making it. It arrived in about another 10 minutes. For crab fries? Like I said, very slow service...both front & back of the house. Lastly, I asked for an additional side cup of tarter sauce for my piece of fish and was charged 50 cents. Really? Restaurants that nickel & dime customers to death annoy me. Unexpected plus: no charge on our Coke & iced tea since the appetizer arrived after our meal. Summary: The bisque alone is truly worth a return trip or more. Service needs some serious improvement. I met my boyfriend for lunch and we had to take the delayed appetizer in a to-go container because we were there over an hour....well past the lunch hour rush. Charging for an extra condiment is just annoying and makes me not want to return (but the bisque....). It was tarter sauce FFS not guacamole.

What a delicious meal and excellent service! My Santa Fe salad was amazing. Not only that, but our server was extremely attentive to our kids which made our meal that much better!

I went to Union Station while on vacation. Not knowing the area or any restaurants, other than fast food chains, I was very pleased with the selections on the menu. I only had a burger. But it was cooked perfect, juicy and very tasty. I like that you were able to order a side salad with it instead of fries. It has a nice atmosphere, very laid back and casual. But the food isn't! Great neighborhood spot.

Sat at the bar & was waited on fairly quickly by Ann. She put the Niners game on for us but then it took a bit to get menus. After that, all was good. Food came out in a decent amount of time & was hot & flavorful. Wings were yummy & the crab cake platter was awesome. We'll be back.

It was totally different ! Taco meat was dried out ! no flavor ! Long black hair in my 3rd taco ! Crab bowl , over baked , bread bowl !

What a great place, my fiance & I just drove into Columbia looking for a place to have dinner and found Union Station Grill. Great atmosphere, great food and friendly staff.

The food menu never gets updated, sandwiches are fine , speaking of menu's they are absolutely gross food stains all over them falling apart,really makes you hungry after looking at them. I would not even turn the pages on mine it was so dirty. Makes you wonder what and how clean the kitchen really is

Great spot. Always liked the food here. Havnt ate here since Jason Dietz is no longer chef, only drink here on occasion. Love the outside deck area and staff is always great.
