Went in and ate for the first time during their Grand Opening which happened to be the same day as the 2023 Hispanic Festival in downtown Colorado Springs was pretty busy as was to be expected. The restaurant is in a great location and has a bar inside with seating. The food was great. Service was great and very friendly. I asked the waitress to recommend something to eat and I went with her recommendation and was extremely happy. Will definitely be returning!
Eat here! Checked out Chile Colorado in Downtown Colorado Springs last night and seriously considered going back for breakfast this morning. It was that good (and the breakfast menu looks awesome)! Hearty, scratch-made homestyle food with flavors that really pop. The salsa is addictive and managed to appeal to the spice-lovers AND the spice-avoiders at our table. I’d never heard of the dish “chile colorado” before and it instantly became something I’ll seek out over and over again. The sides are as flavorful and lovingly made as the main dishes, and my daughter fell in love with the fideo. I forgot to take pics of the house margarita and the mezcalita, both good. The interior is stunning and the bright colors and fun music are guranteed to boost your mood. It’s a family-owned and family-run business. Everyone is sooooooo friendly and helpful.
Amazing food
I recently had the pleasure of trying the steak burritos and I must say, they were absolutely amazing! The carne asada was cooked to perfection and tasted tender and juicy. The burritos were generously stuffed with the meat, along with some delicious rice and beans. The combination of tastes and textures was simply fantastic.
To top it off, we also tried the enchiladas, which were equally delicious. The flavors were bold and the spices were just right. Everything was so tasty that we completely forgot to leave room for dessert!
Overall, I would highly recommend trying these steak burritos and enchiladas if you're in the mood for some authentic and mouthwatering Mexican food. The flavor combinations and quality of ingredients make for a truly satisfying meal. I can't wait to go back and indulge again!
Awesome new restaurant in downtown COS! The queso dip was amazing. The Spanish rice and refried beans were also delicious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat and to try something new. The people here are so friendly and welcoming. Prices are actually quite reasonable for the combos.
The food & service were great. The salsa for the chips is addictive. Spicy with great flavor. Both plates that we ordered were really good; the carne asada burrito with green and red chile plate and the carne asada plate.
We went during a slower hour as it was about 2 pm. However, there were more than just us.
Very delicious. They even have potatoes like my dad used to make. Green Chile smothered carne asada burrito melted in my mouth 😋 the homemade chips and salsa were excellent. The chips were crispy and had nice little air bubbles in them. I'm definitely going back
The space is GORGEOUS, I LOVE the color choices, ARTWORK, lighting fixtures, and the general VIBE! The staff is sooo FRIENDLY and always attentive! And the FOOD!!!!!!!!!
The food is soooo DELICIOUS and completely AUTHENTIC!
Definitely start with the chip and dip trio! Awesome guacamole 🥑, delicious salsa with a zing, and the creamy cheese 🧀 dip is heavenly!
Give them a go and support a new, local business by AMAZING PEOPLE!!!
Two thumbs up! 👍👍
I love this place! I've been there several times. Their food is delicious and reasonably priced. Their salsa is unlike I've ever had -- it's peppery and tasty. Their avocado pork burrito is out of this world, and their carne asada tacos are flavorful and come with a crispy taco that's not crunchy. Their margaritas are lovely as well. I'm excited to try their brunch menu. The service is friendly, fast, and kind.
Chile Colorado is the hidden gem of southern Mexican food. My husband and I went to eat breakfast and loved it so we came back for lunch and all I can say is bomb dot com!! I got the carne asada tacos and hubby got the slopper. We also started with a cheese quesadilla. Tacos were perfect, corn tortilla and carne asada were authentic and high quality. If there is one thing im obsessed with are the HOUSE POTATOES…too good breakfast or lunch you gotta get them.
The food was absolutely delicious 😋🤤 I'll start there.
This place was recommended to us by my friend Kathy G who's cousins with this owner
So why not with me being a Mexican food lover and I've claimed it as my new favorite in Colorado springs 👍👍👍👍👍 5 thumbs up. It tastes like my mom's cooking I grew up with.
Definitely be back soon.
I had cheese enchilada plate and my partner had the deep fried burrito
The guacamole was fresh and perfectly seasoned
