On the first freezing morning of the season, I joined the line before store opening and bought sourdough rye, ciabatta and a jalapeño-cheese roll. Enjoyed with homemade vegetable-bean stew and Danish smoked salmon smorrebord, the bread was gobbled up in a week!
I’ve had a lot of pizza but this pizza was out of this world. The toppings were very good, but the crust was the best crust I’ve ever had on Neapolitan-American pizza. Definitely worth ordering. I had the spicy Rico and tried the a slice of the porcupine pizza as well.
The crust was light and airy with a fabulously bubbly crust that showed an irregular gluten structure characteristic of not overworking the dough. The crust was charred perfectly to add an excellent smoky character. The care for grain was evident and the grain flavor was the star of the show when it came to the crust.
Incredible bakery. Worth every minute in line. We buy sourdough here weekly and it’s honestly the best bread I’ve ever tasted. I just wish their hours were expanded so I could go more often!
Omg, On our way to a Concert in Denver we found this Gem 😋. Great selection, service. Quality, local and more importantly, delicious 😋
The best morning bun ever, fluffy and cinnamony. The blonde loaf was really good.
There can be a bit of a line, but it moves quickly.
I love love this place.... but I hadn't been there in a couple of months and I was very disappointed with the decrease in the amount of meat in the sandwiches. It used to be I couldn't get my mouth around it. Now, well...where's the beef?
Please and THANK YOU!! Wow that Pizza was Perfection..We will be back..came back..hoagies were Amazing!! Shh don’t tell anyone the line is long enough😆😎
Everything. Is. Incredible. A fantastic local bakery. My favorite items include:
1. Ham & dill havarti sandwich - flavorful, fresh bread, filling, perfect
2. Any flavor of scone, especially peach basil
3. Cookies - salted dark chocolate is delicious, molasses spice is divine
4. Fougasse - Like a large pretzel with fresh bread and olives. I thought I didn’t like olives, but I love them in this.
There are so many different things to try here, and all of it is good. Enjoy!
Delicious bread, nice people. Highly recommend!!! Toasted and buttered our treats from Nightingale and enjoyed them at home with a cup of Ethiopian Ardi fresh roasted coffee from Mission Coffee Roasters in Colorado Springs. The combination of fresh bread served with fresh locally roasted Mission coffee was perfect. Two artisan craft foods paired well together. So much enjoyed the cheddar and Pueblo chili pepper bread, the fruit and fennel mini loaf, and the seeded fruited loaf. Can’t say enough good things about this place, the staff, and the baked items. Go here, it’s good. Try the seeded fruited loaf that’s only offered on Friday and Saturday for sure!!! Made a baguette turkey and avocado sandwich with their bread as well. So good!
Their focaccia bread is so good! I have also tried their apple walnut scones, molasses cookies, and spinach and feta hand pies. Like the focaccia, they, too, were delicious. I am looking forward to trying their other breads.
