King's Chef Diner - Colorado Springs - Photo album

Renowned local diner best known for its original purple castle location and green chili. This has been my go to breakfast diner since moving to colorado springs 20 years ago. Portion sizes are huge! My goto is the Grump - usually only a 1/4, sometimes a 1/2. They are now open at 7 so back in the bre
While recently visiting Colorado Springs I had the pleasure of dining at King's Chef Diner. The food and service were outstanding. The portions are large and the price is right. Our group of 8 was seated immediately and we received fast and friendly service. Being from the East Coast I don't see gre
So the description for the The Grump sounds like a lot of food, but when you get it served to you...its a completely different experience! My wife and I split it and it was obviously more than enough. It was fresh, delicious, and cooked exactly how we ordered it. Our server was awesome. Our food cam
The food is great here. I can only speak about the bacon cheeseburger, the fries, and the french toast breakfast. I have not had the green chile, because it is not for me. The service is great with Sue and the staff taking care to make sure your food is great. They are located at the corner of Bijou
Great food, right amount of flavor and spice at the same time. Very friendly and fast service. Come in and try it for yourself!!!
It says best breakfast burrito & yes it is best I've had yet, portion size is huge. 2 people could share and be full even for hefty eaters. The one in the pic is the mini. And the French toast oh yum. It was a wait though to get ordered and sat, but not bad.
A hash brown plate lives and dies by it’s potatoes, and the grump delivers on it. The hash has the right amount of crispy bits and was seasoned properly. Generous chunks of bacon. The green chili is very solid, the gravy tastes kinda like any diner’s, take it or leave it. I ordered the half size and
My cousin introduced me to King's Chef. He always brings my Aunt, when she comes to visit. This is a cute, locally owned family diner. The portions are quite large, don't be surprised if you end up sharing the half sized portions. I took a friend and colleague for lunch. She didn't even know they
This place was super packed, and for good reason, the food is great and so far the best green Chile I've had in the springs. The portions are huge, so I would either get a smaller portion, plan for leftovers, or share with someone. We sat at the bar area, and the cooks sang a song together, it was a
Great service and great food! Delicious breakfast all day - get The Thing or The Grump but only get 1/2 order unless you want take-home! (And I am a decent sized guy!)
Fast delicious food for Father's Day. We got in, and we sat almost immediately after they opened. Our service was fast and friendly. The green chili is gluten-free! Even the buser was super friendly and was on top of removing our plates.
This is a triple D restaurant. Apparently there are two in town. We went to the one in the downtown area across from a park. We stood in line to order at the counter. When you go to order the waitresses are helpful in navigating the menu. The building is nothing great and the seats are hard and the
I have been going to King’s Chef for years, and I can say without hesitation that this is one of the best breakfast places in Colorado Springs. Can get quite busy, but it is well worth the wait. Make sure you bring your appetite because the servings are large!!
Amazing place. Went during the lunch hour, but just had to try the breakfast burrito with the green chili smothered on top. Portions were great, definitely grab smaller because they're quite hefty if you have the choice on select plates that offer 1/2 & 1/4 size options. Everyone in our group enjo
The breakfast burrito is 14 dollars, and while huge portions, it was missing flavor. If you want a lot of food to fill you up, eggs, hash browns and cheese then this is fine. If you want flavor something less bland, look elsewhere. grilled veggies might do the trick, some jalapeños and avocado. This
Every time I'm down in the springs I make a point to swing by King Chef. It's usually pretty crowded so plan in advance and try to eat in the off peak hours, if you can. It's usually worth the wait. Pretty much everything I've had is good to great. It's a lot of food! My burrito had to have like a p
