First time having Ethiopian food. Everything was good. It was awkward using the bread as a utensil, but I think I did OK. We finished with dessert which was also delicious. I believe we were served by the owner and she was a sweetheart. My only complaint is that it was very warm in the restaurant. W
Calm and peaceful atmosphere. The lady who owns the place is super friendly. Never had this food before and the picture doesn't do it justice. I will being my wife back here next visit.
This was more than a meal it was a true cultural experience. The food was amazing but more important was the atmosphere created by Maya. She welcomes you look your mother and teaches you about her country while serving your food. Prepare to spend some time here it is not a rushed meal, but well w
If you want not just authentic food but a dining EXPERIENCE, this place is a MUST! The flavors were incredible, the decor and atmosphere were outstanding, but the real delight was Maya who is the matriarch who served us. Her spirit was like nothing I’ve ever experienced, her stories rich in culture,
The food was delightful, with melded flavor as if simmering overnight. The service was welcoming and sweet. Mya is a great ambassador for her cuisine and culture. We enjoyed reading about the broad influence of Ethiopia on the world. And felt relaxed and unhurried. Though we did not have one, I
Everything was amazing. You need to make a reservation so they know how much food to make that day. The service was very personal and fun. All of the food was the best I've ever had at an Ethiopian restaurant and I've been to many. If you are looking for a fun, unique experience that you won't find
This is a special place. Its not like a big box restaurant. Set your expectations for a calm quiet environment. Served by the sweet soft spoken owner. She serves meals to guests as if you were a guest in her home. The food is pure comfort food, served family style. No utensils are offered instea
Wonderful host and food, cozy restaurant. These places are rare nowadays, family owned, organic ingredients, prepared with care. She brought out a sample for me to try, a lamb dish, which I thought was a really nice gesture. So glad I finally made it here. I felt so welcomed.
I live in the Springs but had never been here although the write ups were intriguing. I started with the tea. The owner makes a special blend. expect floral and citrus notes So good. It is pre sweetened but just enough. I then ordered the vegetarian combo. I don't normally order spicy but it was a G
Wish I had visited this restaurant sooner! We had a vegetarian and meat sampler platter with lamb and beef. Ordered spicy. It was ALL delicious. Loved the communal dining experience with our group. Can't wait to come back. Maya is a lovely kind lady and made the meal a wonderful experience. She is t
What an incredible experience. I’ve never been through anything like this. Wonderful woman serving us. Incredible food. Cozy and (likely) authentic as I’ve never been to Ethiopia. Cannot give enough stars. Such a hidden gem.
We found this place completely on accident. You wouldn't even know it was a restaurant until you read the sign. Neither my wife or I, had ever tried Ethiopian food, so we figured we'd give it a shot. Wow, were we surprised. The waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, she helped us navigat
I have never eaten Ethiopian food before and have to admit that I was timid going in. I was pleasantly surprised as the waitress was very friendly and the food was amazing. My wife and I ordered the beef and lamb tibs dishes. While it was different for me to have to eat with my hands, the rolled bre
We ordered takeout and the owner was simply wonderful. We've never eaten Ethiopian cuisine and she helped me choose a variety of items, including a vegan option for myself. She explained how to use the bread to eat and helped get things to the car. SO flavorful and delicious! We had chicken, lamb, b
Great quiet place with delicious Ethiopian food. The chicken tibs were delicious and came with some lentil dish on the side. The staff was very friendly. It's definitely worth trying especially if you haven't had Ethiopian before.
The food, the atmosphere, and the service was incredible! The lamb and seafood— perfect. I can’t wait to go back.
