We drive from Mechanicsville and have been there about 6 times. The staff is awesome and the food is wonderful. Last night I had a broiled flounder stuffed with lump crab. Loved the vegetable soup it tasted so much like the one My grandmother used to make. What a wonderful place to celebrate anything. We will definitely make this a regular place to eat.
Our recent visit to Wagstaff was right on time! The steak is always great, perfectly cooked, great service and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend the Ribeye! One of my favorite features of this family run restaurant is that they roll out of whole ribeye or NY strip and ask you how much you want and then how long you'd like to enjoy their unlimited soup and salad before they bring your delicious steak. And let's not forget it's served with buttered grilled Texas toast. Yummm. My husband really enjoyed the peanut butter pie to finish it off. If you've never eaten at Wagstaff you must try!
Excellent Service, Great Food, Comfy Atmosphere, Down to Earth owner, Friendly and accommodating Staff, Awesome garden. This is our new regular spot. We will got give our money to a chain again.
Me and my wife had dinner there on New Year’s Eve, as we always do. Love it! Best steak/seafood in the area. Great food,great drinks, and great people-What more can you ask for!
If you're in the mood for steak only one place to go, Wagstaff's. Went last night and as usual Danny prepared our steaks to perfection, sides were great and try the new shrimp appetizer you won't be disappointed.

Could not have picked a better place to celebrate my 32nd wedding anniversary/Valentine's Day. The steaks NEVER disappoint. Awesome!
I have been going here since I was a young child. Danny does a wonderful job with his restaurant. His parents should be very proud. The food was delicious!!!!! They have new items added to the menu and wonderful specials. Love the staff. Great atmosphere. It was fantastic!!!!
Couldn’t be better and it’s always the same!!! It’s also not so loud like most places.

My husband and I have been coming here for several years and we have NEVER had a bad experience. We were there last night and enjoyed a delicious meal in a very enjoyable and pleasant atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff. Danny and his staff do a wonderful job to make you feel welcome and leave happy after a great meal!! We will continue to dine here for years to come.

Never had a bad meal there. Steaks cooked perfectly. Awesome salad bar and love the hashbrowns with onions 😊. Danny always remembers his customers' names and gives wonderful service. One of the things we love is that you can count on the same, good meal every time. Nothing fancy...just yummy.
Second time eating at the establishment. Got my steak and it was blue in the centre and had to send it back . Other than that it was very good .

Found this little gem while traveling. Went in on a Wednesday night and was surprised at how full the parking lot was. After I got inside the place was packed but was still quickly seated. Myself and a co-worker had met for dinner. The steakhouse is only open through the week in the evenings. After we were seated, with the amount of people in there, we were quickly greeted and asked for our drink order. When our drinks came back we were told that someone would come by and our steaks would be hand cut if we were interested, which we were. Come to find out the owner of the restaurant came by with a cart and hand-cut our steaks. While they were being cooked to order we we were told we could help ourselves to the soup and salad bar. I had steak, baked potato and asparagus, all of it was cooked perfectly and tasted great! Looking out the window we had a view of a small pond and the owner came by to check on our meal. Found out that this man had bought the restaurant from his parents 20+ years previously and had started working in the restaurant as a teenager. I would highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try. It was a quaint and unassuming place from the outside but big on taste and service inside.
This steakhouse hasn't changed in more than 10 years. It would be nice if you were able to get a vegetable as a side but all meals come with the salad bar. The owner and his staff are very nice. Limited menu. Moderate to high prices.
