Bell Ranch Steakhouse

The service was awful. We waited over 20 minutes for refills and over an hour for cold food. We turned our food back because you could tell it had been sitting under the hotlamp for 20 minutes. Take the time to enjoy some of the great restaurants in B/CS if you’re staying here rather than eating at this dump.

We went for Thanksgiving this year. It was quite a spread. There was more variety than I would have had if I had stayed home. The entire banquet room was full of guests with a large central entree serving station and several other stations for cheese/fruit/salad, deserts, and breads. I had ham, chicken, a couple of bites of prime rib, some shrimp, and some great crab claws. The green bean casserole wasn't so good (not like home). The cost was $31.45 per person (there were four of us so $124.80). The automatically added gratuity was 20% ($25.15) but the service didn't quite warrant that much. Tax was a whopping 9.9% ($12.45). Grand total was $163.41 for four of us! What I don't get is that our server told us that if we paid by credit card, that she would not get the gratuity. And here was a space on the ticket for additional an gratuity. She told us that if we paid with cash, she would get what ever gratuity was on the ticket. I spoke with someone who looked like a 'manager' and she said that the servers WOULD get the gratuity (but that it would go into a pool that would be distributed). It really felt that the server was trying to scam us out of an additional tip. But it was condoned by the management since in addition to the automatic tip, there was a place for another tip. What's up with that?

The breakfast had many options, but nothing special. The fruit was fresh, but not much else. For the price that I paid, I could have got two breakfasts at a restaurant. Eat out at a place across the street for a better option and cheaper. The two people that were working in the morning were pleasant.

No wait on Valentine's day, so we thought it would be a decent choice...sadly mistaken. It took over 30 minutes to get a drink after the order was taken. After another 30 minutes, the waitress apologized for forgetting to turn in our food order. No refill of water during the first hour of wait either. I could have overlooked all of this had the restaurant been extremely busy, but there were only five tables seated with two or fewer patrons at each one. $90 meal and the star was supposed to be a 6oz filet cooked to a nice, juicy medium. Well, they were able to outdo themselves once again and served us small sirloins that were far beyond well done. To top off everything, the desert was served in a nice half frozen state, mind you it was not ice cream. Seriously, at this point my beautiful wife, who is eight months pregnant, and I just started laughing at this comedic series of mishaps. I have thus decided to leave this feedback so that they will be able to make improvements to their entire process and if not, so that others may be made aware of how poor our experience was. Lesson learned, some things are worth a wait, but not at this dining facility on this particular night.

Decided to give Bell Ranch a try on a Sunday arriving at 4:30pm only to find that the main dining room wasn't open until 5:00pm. We were told that the bar was open and would serve food. When we searched for steak restaurants on Google, their listing did not indicate this was the case. Since that wasn't what we had in mind, we took our business elsewhere. Maybe they're food/service is good, but we may never find out. First impressions often determine if we ever go back to a given place. Needless to say, this was not a good first impression.

Came in with a group of 12 and recieved horrible service as well as food. The shrimp and grits came out cold and then when it was sent back they just re warmed it any cheif knows you dont re warm shrimp. The fillets were mixed up and I got a medium when I ordered a medium rare. The oerson across feom me got my steak which also was full of hair. Staff was a group of young kids and could have cared less that we paid top dollar for horrible service and poor food. Will never revisit this place and recommed you don't either.
