Homie Joe's Tacos - Colfax - Photo album

I used to go there years ago when it was Coyote Tacos and was glad to see it had reopened under new name. Hiked Steven's Trail and stopped on way out. Had a Homie chicken taco and some rice and beans. Was excellent and I will recommend and stop again. Rock On 3 different types of cancer survivor
Fantastic tacos, exceptional salsas, really cool staff. One of the better veggie tacos I've had, with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, squash, and beans. You can taste the char from the grill, and they're really well seasoned, salty and peppery. Shredded chicken was moist and tender. Tortillas are s
Amazing place, best tacos around the Sierra. Friendly atmosphere and good selection of tex-mex food. Super fast service. Easy access from the highway. Their Corn on the Cob with cheese and hot Cheetos is a high mark ready to challenge all norms; triple star chefs around the world are scared about th
This review was for the tacqueria that was here previous. Don't know anything about the current restaurant, but we've heard it's good. Will have to give it a try. This place is a little out of the way for the wife and I, but if we are going through Colfax we stop. Every. Time. We. Go. Through. Gre
Great place! We were passing through the town and stopped for a bite to eat. I loved the little dog that welcomed us out front. Once you enter, youโ€™re greeted with reggae music (they had me at Bob Marley) and the server asked โ€œHey homies! What can I get for you?โ€ I asked for my tacos without meat
This is the best Mexican food you'll find on your way to Tahoe. This is Colfax best kept secret, until now. The rolled one aka a burrito, is huge and could be shared. The chips and salsa is fresh and delicious. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY
The food was pretty solid here and they have a good production line however it did take some time to review our meals. The tacos are big and lots of good ingredients. Might be good to call ahead though if you are taking away. Also the place closes a little early around 8 so try and get there early.
Good, homestyle southwestern tacos and burritos. Friendly, local people. Watch out for coming during the lunch rush, though (limited seating).
Street tacos were good but the carna asada fries were fantastic...friendly folks and love supporting the "mom-n-pop" local places to eat...u should too
Lots of lime and fresh tacos at Homie Joe's. Try the mango salsa, mixed with the hot salsa, comes out great. The service was fast and it's a great place to get a taco or casadilla. My favorite was a "Dilla" which is a casadilla, loaded with meat, cheese and sauce.
Very friendly staff. Suddenly a pleasant place for travelers. If you want a delicious and cheap burrito, stop by.
I stopped in Colfax to get some gas on my way back from North Shore and headed to the Bay Area. After getting gas I saw a sign that said BBQ so I decided to check it out. Turns out itโ€™s a taco spot. Their menu is simple and their food is fresh. I had two full size carnitas tacos and my friend had a
Awesome vibes, friendly service, good food. Plenty of gluten free options.
Yummy food. Like your Abuela makes. The half order of nachos so huge I'll be eating it for dinner. Chips are fresh made. We are coming back. Thx.
AWESOME AND FRIENDLY STAFF! Amazing food!! Best meal EVER!! Great decor as well (especially the bear) I recommend The Dilla with beef. ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐ŸŒฎ๐Ÿฅ™๐ŸŒฏ
Little Nacho loves homie Joe's Dillas. They're Dank . Aswell as the tacos. I cant wait to try the breakfast burrito on my way to go snowboarding
Cute, funky local spot. Chips are good (always a big indicator of what's to follow) as are the tacos, but slightly oversalted for my taste. Service is excellent and super friendly! Misted tent for comfortable dining in the heat. Conveniently located next to the freeway, perfect stop when traveling f
If you like tacos, then this will become your new favorite place! The friendliest atmosphere you can imagine, great tacos, decent prices, and just all around an awesome place! Finally, a great local eatery that people will like. They even have a dog friendly patio. They do things a little different,
