Stopped on my way to Truckee. Great casual country restaurant and bar serving breakfast until 2pm. Wife likes breakfast, I prefer lunch...both happy.
Great little diner with plenty of breakfast and lunch / brunch items to choose from. They have a bar with beer and wine, champagne and mimosas too. This place won't disappoint on your trip through to the mountains. Friendly and helpful wait staff. We had the Hammy and Sammy, Bread pudding and Breakf
Great little place off the freeway. Friendly people and pretty good food at a pretty good price.
We came to Emigrant Gap for the day and stopped here on our way home for some food and to warm up in the blizzard. I can’t stress how IMPRESSED we were with their customer service, time management and AMAZING FOOD! We will be making this our traditional spot for our visits up the mountain for sure!
The crispy chicken and tropical salads were hearty and delicious. The dressing was on point as well (bleu cheese and ranch). My BILs double chin burger was so good!! Thick cut bacon, juicy burgers, great onion rings.....the tots were delish as well. My son liked his mini corn dogs and fries too. It
I haven't been here for dinner, but I love the breakfast and lunch options. The benedicts are good. I also like the sandwiches, especially TJ's Meat Melt with turkey. There is a nice, relaxed atmosphere here, with friendly staff.
Crispy Spicy Chicken Salad was my favorite.
I should of took one to go, it was that delicious.
Chicken Sandwich and Chili Cheese Fries were amazing as well.
Over all experience was shocking GREAT.
Service was great and quick!!!
Wait staff was very friendly and personable. The waitress, Jessica, recommended the meatloaf and I am glad I tried it. The meatloaf dinner was amazing! Jessica herself is a great waitress. I don't live anywhere close to this restaurant but if I am ever in the area again this is my stop.
Very Yummy reasonably priced brunch !
Ordered Mediterranean Omlet,
($14.00) Chicken fried steak ($16) and the kids combo from menu. ($7 ). Chicken fried steak came with 2 eggs. Hasbrowns and toast/biscuit. Omlet came with hashbrowns and toast or pancake. Kids combo :scrambled eggs, French toast,
Sunday was pretty busy but we were able to squeeze in. Wide variety on the menu and portions were generous. I had the French toast with ham which turned out to be massive. The ham was thick cut and grilled. Kind of a hole in the wall, but very much worth the stop. Must try.
This place is BOMB 💣
Don’t let the outside full you this place is a down home restaurant. Cane here for a family breakfast. I had the Philly cheesesteak omelette and home fries. The Gals are are nice and I will be back on my trips to Reno

Pretty good meal here for a large group on the way back from Tahoe. Big portions and affordable. Good quick service. Right off the highway, so it’s easily accessible. I got the Denver omelet and enjoyed it.
First-time dining at TJ's Roadhouse up in Colfax CA. My son had heard they had the best burgers and that is the truth! I had the burger with an egg on it, bacon, avocado, and grilled onions with sweet potato fries. Awesome! My son had the basic burger and added mushrooms and bacon. Excellent and fri
Great place for lunch! Portion size is plentiful. Fries were warm & crunchy. My only reason to give 4 stars is because they charge extra for pineapple on my teriyaki burger.
Enjoyed our lunch one day and went back the next night for dinner. Both were delicious. We just moved to Colfax and are definitely going to try breakfast next. Highly recommend!
Had the Steak sandwich with onion rings. The steak had two Grissel spots that made biting off a part of the sandwich difficult and messy. Had peach pie with a dollop of ice cream and it was delicious.
