Review Mcdonald's - Colchester

Ordered on app to table, and chips were tepid for 2 people. Went 2 days ago and did same for 4 people and same result. Answer = Don't order for delivery to table as sits on side for too long.

Always busy as its main McDonald's in town they have high standards but always have a lot of people as well as school kids so if u want to have a chilled out time go to the other one

It was extremely busy yet managed to get my order in decent time.

They never give me all the sauces I ordered but I really appreciate classical music that often plays inside

Food service and atmosphere all excellent.could do with more seating downstairs though.

So not sure how many people read the reviews of McDonalds, but had a pretty poor experience with Uber Eats (I know shocks, haha). Cut a long story short, wrong order received, ignored by Uber, so went to the store to try and rectify the issue. Spoke with a young female staff member and the manager Jack, who very quickly got to work to rectify the issue with very minimal fuss! Excellent customer service skills from both and very polite from start to finish.

Good for a coffee and lunch break. Recommend the wraps. And we had waiter service!

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!". Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

Ran well, organised and quick service. Everything in the order was right, other restaurants can't always do that. Very clean, always someone cleaning something which is lovely to see. Toilets had just been cleaned when i went in and it was extremely clean.

Just recently went to McDonald's with my boyfriend. We decided to eat in as we had been walking around town for quite a while. We were quickly seated by the kind employee at the front door and escorted to our seats by another kind employee at the top of the stairs. We were seated in a corner isolated from the rest of the customers. After ordering our meal on the ordering screen an employee quickly wiped it down afterward. We were served promptly and the meal was delicious. Fries were fresh, though the wrap and the chicken legend was smaller than we remember but that might just be because we haven't been to a McDonald's since March. Overall we really enjoyed our visit. Felt very safe and very clean.

Drive thru order was a cold mess. How hard is it to check the order before givng it to the customer? Check..are their napkins? Is there an egg on the bacon and EGG biscuit? Is the order fresh or hours old cold? Did you put the hashbrown in the bag or an empty hashbrown holder? Was the drive thru person pleasant with a friendly voice or full of attitude that we were a bother to her? Seriously. Always a problem at this McDonalds., even the drive thru menu has issies, no lights turned on, no large breakfast menu showing. Worst McDonalds ever.

Absolutely horrendous service! 5 meals averaging $8 each=$40, $5 for nuggets, $1.50 for mc chicken=$46.50,..,So apparently the Apple juice (that I never even got) was $6.50??? Guess I'll never know why I paid so much since conveniently your machine wouldn't print a receipt. Sent to wait at drive thru at 8:10pm..8:20, still no food, watched 20 cars get their food and leave, still waiting with 6 kids in the car. 8:25, went in myself to get our food, it was just sitting there. Fries were cold and hard, sandwiches and nuggets were luke warm, not really sure what we were waiting for. $52.00 for absolute crap and bad service!

Went through the drive thru and they forgot 2 sandwiches when hubby went inside with bag ..was told by employee..i made them just didnt put them in the bag...HELLO isnt that your job??? Not even an apology...not impressed with the attitude...hire better help

They never can get an order right and they don’t even apologize when they mess up! I’ve ordered in the drive-thru, then had to go inside because they gave me an entirely different order and then it’s wrong a second time!

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would do so. The restaurant is consistently FILTHY, the service is slow, employees have plenty of time to stand around and talk but apparently no time to clean. Food is usually cold, fries are half cooked and employees act as if it's an inconvenience when you ask for something like salt for your fries (that is after you stand at the counter for 15 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge your presence while the employees stand around and chat with one another). And the drive thru is a disaster. I tried to get a drink one day and despite being one of only two cars in the drive thru it took 18 minutes to get a single drink. The ONLY reason I ever go here is because my son likes the play place and I do it rarely as the play place is dirty and dangerous.

Their door sign says open at 5:30, their manager Saturday morning told us 6:00, with no apologies. Guessing the late shift doesn't "close" leaving the morning crew to pick up the slack. I voiced my complaint with the useless manager. Another employee on the way out yelled to my daughter and myself "Don't come back!". When I inquired who said that. Jackie, proudly spelled her name for me, good to know she is competent at something as she's lacking in customer repartee. Interesting that while the door was unlocked, the staff had put a meal tray holding the door open for some reason. I guess locking it after employees entered would be a problem somehow. This store has had below par service for over a decade. Why McDonalds allows this to continue, I'll never know. They didn't tolerate this when I worked for them. They don't deserve any stars in light of their service, accountability or their learning curve in getting better.

When my husband orders a pickle free hamburger and the bun is dunked in pickle juice I'd say these CHILDREN don't know anything about food allergies or service. If my husband had had a reaction there wouldn't be just a bad review. Keep this in mind jerks.

I just was there in the drive thru. They forgot our fries my bf had to go back in to get them. Then as I'm eating them, something was chewy in my mouth. Piece of plastic was in my large fries!!!!!!

Disorganized not well trained worry more about when it's time for their break than providing good service to the customers

This has to be the worst McDonald's on the planet. 90% of the time the food is not made correctly and if it is very sloppy. The management treats there employees very badly out in the open.

Place has horrible guest service. Awful management and it took litteraly 14 minutes to get a mcchicken

I work Grave Shift at Foxwoods and I went there on Tuesday which for me is really my Saturday. That means I got out of work at 7:30 that morning and because it was my day off I have errands to run and also spend time with my wife and Kids when they get out school. So keep in mind when I went to McDonalds at 4PM that afternoon I was up for a Long time well over 24 hours do it everyweek. Millions of Americans are doing it everyday. So I looked Tired the girl at the window asked me to pull up my nuggets were not ready yet and called the cops and told them I was Drunk with my 10 year old in the car and having me think I was waiting for fresh nuggets was her way of making sure the cops would catch me. Well the cop walks up to the window explains to me what just happened and said you look like your tired. I explained to him I worked nights it was my saturday and I did not sleep yet and I wanted to get my boys McDonalds and not only did I not drink or do drugs I would never endanger the lives of my children or the lives of the strangers going about there business. The Cop seemed highly aggravated with the employees at Mcdonalds for assuming the worst for them not taking the time for asking me or my son if everything was okay and making it seem like I was definitely on something on the 911 call. Thank you McDonalds for ruining my trip to your restaurant with my son For the public Humility and for putting the Officer in a situation he certainly did not want to be in. One of my friends I grew with is now one of the editors at the Chicago Tribune and has agreed to run this story
