This is hands down the best Chinese/Japanese food option in the area. Really fantastic food - consistently good!! And the staff is awesome. Yes, the prices are slightly higher than other similar establishments in the area, but it is 100% worth it.

This is one of those sushi places that seems way too good to be in a strip-mall. Always our first stop when arriving to the colchester area from out of state. Can't speak to the other cuisine because I always get sushi, but this place nails it. Just wish they had seating at the sushi bar.

Very good clean food! Freshly cooked. Not greasy. Modest mediocre interior, located in a shopping plaza. No views. Excellent tasty pork fried rice. Never had a bad meal here. Would recommend it and would go back. Easy free parking. Nice friendly wait staff.

Great food, good service. Only issue we had was the high chair for the baby was stickier than the gyōza. Delicious meal in an upbeat place.

We went for lunch and enjoyed our meal; pictured is the avocado peanut roll, shumai, and chicken hibachi. We were served quickly and there was plenty to bring home!

We've been a couple times for the hibachi, and it's been great every time. Fresh ingredients, tasty sauces and better performance than your average hibachi place. Prices are quite reasonable, especially given the very generous portions. We will definitely be going back again.

I cannot count how many times I've eaten here. Ichiban is always a fool-proof go-to for lunch or dinner. Even when busy, service is prompt and the servers, while some are shy, are always polite and friendly. I think one of their best items are their gyoza (dumplings). I've never had a bad batch - always delicious. It's a casual, bistro-style restaurant with good food at good prices. I can't wait till I get back home to eat here more.
