Review Thai City - Clovis

Florydette McDowell
I have traveled around small and big cities in the world. This place is not as what they advertises as Thai Food Restaurant. It’s not even as closed as Chinese or Asian food. Food was not tasty, bland. But for a small town and people doesn’t know what authentic and tasty Thai or Asians food is, it’s alright. Over all, I was disappointed.

The green curry here is my favorite meal. Anywhere. I’m not exaggerating. I could literally eat it twice a day and when I’m traveling for business and stay overnight in Clovis, I do. For $11 to get this quality of meal with rice or veggies, pork, beef and shrimp, you cannot beat the value. Clovis is out of way for me, but this place makes it worth the trip.

Normally i recommend their food. Everytime I've ever gone the food is amazing but this time I recommended this restraint to my grandmother and the food she ordered was....disgusting the sweet and sour chicken was not warm and the chicken was dry and hard. We ordered the food at the restaurant to go as soon as it was out of the kitchen was in my hand, we drove home about 7 min tops and it was not even warm. I'm so disappointed

Came for early dinner. Wait staff attentive. They do not have warm/hot drinks on a very cold day. Food was good. Spicy chicken does not need jalapenos in it to make it spicy. It's like thai infused with mexican. Just a blah experience.

Walked in to order Togo, never been there. Very sweet staff, clean facility, wonderful food. Portion is large too! Recommend their curry:)

Do not eat here this food is not good at all plus I found a piece of scrubber in my food and my son's plate had a bug in it I took a pic of my plate and I also tried taking a pic of my son's plate of rice cause he had a bug crawling in it overall I don't recommend anyone eating here.

I really like this place… especially the service…. However I think the cook might be having an off night…. I had the cashew chicken as usual with sticky rice… the rice was dry with some hard spots…. The chicken was pretty dry and it just wasn’t tasty… my grandson had the sweet and sour chicken… his batter was not cooked all the way as needed….youngest granddaughter had chicken fried rice…. It was pretty good…. Oldest granddaughter had what she thought was kungpow chicken…..she said hers was a little spicy but good….. they loved the Thai teas… Normally I would give 5 stars but not this time. I’m sure in a couple of weeks I will return and hopefully edit the post to 5 stars.

Aside from the quite atmosphere, and roach that was in my water. The sprouts were growing as literal sprouts. The pho was alright but the meat was very stale. waitress was nice. The food just sucked.
