Review Family Tradition Restaurant - Cloquet

We stopped in for breakfast to fill up for road trip up north. They're busy today due to memorial weekend. You seat yourself. We're greeted right away. Servers are fast. Our breakfast are so good ☺️ The locals are so nice.

Very cute little stop off the highway. Great friendly service and food was delicious. Some of the best french toast I've ever had.

The breakfast was really good even though it was four in the afternoon. Hash browns were great. Pancakes were thin and good. Hot turkey sandwich gravy was great. Potatoes were homemade. Little disappointed in the turkey. It seemed to be high quality shaved lunch meat, not thick slices or chunks but it was good. I'd go back..

We wanted a real breakfast after a few days of camping and headed here from Jay Cooke State Park. The people were friendly the food was perfect, couldn't have asked for a better breakfast and service. Dont skip a cup of coffee. Will be back someday. We had to make q small plate for the pups they were also hungry from all hiking.

Best restaurant in all of Cloquet. Generous portions of homemade traditional food. Amazingly friendly service. Clean, cozy, nostalgic... this place has not changed over the years, and that's why I love it. I highly recommend 👌 10 stars if I could...

We ate here 25 years ago. The food was mediocre, and the setting with crowded tables was quite a turnoff, so we never went back. When we moved back to the area a few years ago, we decided to give it a try, on the chance that maybe they had changed in 25 years. The makeover is much more inviting, and the food was great. Staff was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

One of the best classic diners with that American flare food. The breakfast is absolutely killer! I've only had dinner a couple times here but I've never been let down. Awesome service and incredible food.

Love their food! The staff was willing to do curbside for me so I didn't have to take my daughter out in the cold to get our breakfast to go. We were there last week but I forgot until now to give my review. I've been going there for many years and have never been dissatisfied.

We stop there very often on our way to Duluth and/or Cloquet. This place always has specials along w/a good menu very reasonable prices and amazing fast service. Always smiling and welcoming.

Delicious! The staff was very funny and friendly and the food is very reasonably priced. I had French toast and sausage (my favorite breakfast) and was very pleased. The French toast wasn't soggy or mushy, but was still soft. I was also excited to see blackberry jam, usually at restaurants all I see is strawberry and grape. You also get the cutest view of a little mini golf course. And it might not matter to everyone, but the restrooms were clean, and that is always a bonus.

Great friendly place to eat. It really deserves the name "Family" tradition. The wait staff makes you feel right at home.

I love that place and make sure to stop any time I am in the neighborhood. (Neighborhood meaning the state of Minnesota). My nephew drives up from the cities just for lunch. We all love it.

I always visit Family Tradition when I am in Cloquet. The food isn't pretentious, just quality home cooked selections and wonderful staff that makes everyone feel like part of the family. Love going here for the real and relaxed atmosphere.

I came in last week and ordered a double cheeseburger and added fries I paid $6.98 for the burger and to add fries I paid an additional $3.75 and I did not get any chips. So.. if I were to order a burger add bacon I would pay for the bacon and you would take away...?
