Like stepping back in time to much simpler days. this is the cutest little bistro I've ever seen. Not a very large breakfast selection however, what they have is great. They have great selection for lunch including a huge variety of sandwiches. The bistro is also a cute little antique shop. The service is great, staff very friendly and welcoming. Would have given 5 stars if they were a little more able to cater to gluten free needs. Not the idea restaurant for gluten allergies.

We come to Clinton periodically for our children’s sporting events and often look for local establishments to try out. I’m happy this bistro was open at 1pm on a Saturday. This place had something for everyone, including my insanely particular daughter. I enjoyed the building, it maintains a lot of its historic charm. It is quite spacious, and the tables are spaced quite far apart, so you definitely won’t be crowded or bumped into. The sandwiches got good reviews from our party of four, the salad was rated quite high by the aforementioned picky daughter. I guess the only drawbacks were the fact they were out of several things, and ran out of soft drinks so we never got refills… and weren’t really offered an alternative or comped for any, but whatever. The food was better than expected and was delivered promptly despite the staff seeming somewhat unprepared for the rush of people arriving just before close. I’d definitely come back. I’d like to try those burgers.

Wonderful food, some of the best coffee in town, quaint atmosphere and nice people. Definitely worth a visit when you're in town. Don't let the construction detour you. There's plenty of parking.

Was grossed out eating here. I ordered a hamburger and asked for it to be done. When I got it blood was running out of the hamburger I told the Wait your size for it to be done. She proceeded to cut my hamburger 1/2 with her fingers pulled it apart and said there's only a little bit of blood in it enjoy

In one word: Delicious! Many wonderful sandwiches to choose from. I would give five stars except I like french fries with my meal which are not on the menu. Still, probably the best selection of specialty sandwiches in Clinton. Try it. You won't regret it!

My friend and I met in Clinton and shared a truly delightful lunch at Ben Franklin Bistro! My friend had the Abigail Adams salad and I had the Benedict Arnold (chicken salad with small salad). The food was simply delicious and arrived very quickly. We topped off our meals with a slice of homemade peanut butter pie, which was melt-in-your-mouth, can't-believe-it's-this-tasty goodness. The Bistro is located on the town square in a beautiful old building over 100 years old. It was built as the Ben Franklin Five and Dime (hence the name) and the Bistro has kept the original tin ceilings and hardwood floors, all lovingly preserved. The high ceilings give the space an open yet intimate feel, perfect for dining. The best part of our experience was our server, Sherry. She was friendly and efficient, and made sure we enjoyed our lunch. She even gave us the ingredients for the fabulous peanut butter pie! After our meal she told us a bit about the history of the building and its current owners. She was extremely hospitable; my friend and I hadn't seen each other in many months, so we lingered at our table after our meal was over, chatting and catching up. We never felt rushed or solicited to leave. For a marvelous lunch and meeting place, I highly recommend the Ben Franklin Bistro. And you can't beat the peanut butter pie!
